I found this community during the Spotlight, but thought I'd wait for the craze to die down before posting, so here it is...

How do you identify?: (sexuality/gender)     I like to use the term 'crooked' - I am female

Interests/hobbies: crafting, reading, writing, video games, computer games, board games, animals, riding horses, swimming, skiing, rollerblading, baking, anime, cosplay - also, I have very cute pet rats (I don't care if this squicks you, so long as you let me know so I don't send you the cute photos)

Favourite books: Walter Farley, Into the Land of the Unicorns, Mercedes Lackey, Terry Pratchett, Anne McCaffery

Favourite films: I tend to like the clever children's movies like Wall-E, Despicable Me, The Dark Crystal... that sort of thing Also, I'm a big fan of Anime - my current favorite is 'Durarara!'

Favourite music: There is very little I don't like, but my current favorites are Epica, Nightwish, Camelot and the people who did "Canadian Please"

What would you like to send/receive?:   Letters, photos, small things of interest- handmade things - surprises are always fun

Who would you like to send and receive mail from?: Anyone who's looking for a friend

What countries would you like to recieve mail from and send to?:   Probably best if its mostly from Canada, since postage is crazy and I like to send/recieve packages. I am okay with sending flat letters just about anywhere else, though.

Anything that you would particularly NOT like to recieve?: (eg. "food/candy with nuts")   Oh, I really hate the smell/taste of mint, or bananas- also I'm not a huge fan of pastel yellow or any shade of pink.

What would be in your dream letter or package?: Something fun, something pretty, something inspiring, something that you think is wonderful that we can talk about

Anything else you'd like to add?: I'm looking forward to having someone to talk to - it really sucks to be lonely.

Picture (optional):    I'm not really big on putting my photo online, but if we get along I might send one by snail mail.

Rats are wonderful! I, for one, would love cute photos of your rats, if we write to eachother. I've had pet gerbils and mice over the years, so yeah, quite a fondness for the rodents here.

Also, your taste in music! Hooray!

It's always great to come across someone who likes similar music- especially if it's a band that isn't really so widely known!

oh goodness you have ratties?! 8D I think they are so adorable, and most of them I've met are very affectionate. :3 I'm actually getting a hedgehog in the next couple weeks, so if you don't mind getting cute hedgie pictures, I would absolutely love rattie ones. <3

This next year I'll be living by myself while I finish my last year of college, and most of my friends have graduated already (since I'm going for a fifth year). This year is going to be lonelier for sure, so I would really love having something to look forward to at the mail box besides bills. I definitely would love to be your penpal. :) I know shipping costs are kinda ridiculous, but I always budget in for mailing goodie packages every once in a while to friends and people I write to.

No, unfortunately, it isn't one of mine- all the photos I have of my girls don't really work for icons. I can never bear to shrink them since they loose so much resolution!
My first rat looked alot like this one, though- she died about this time last year.
