MARINE, not soldier. Not to nitpick, but as a Marine I can tell you how annoying it is to constantly get called the wrong name. And, it's a super cute reunion.
The only etiquette with which I'm familiar is rank etiquette. Please, explain to me why all the military can't collectively be called soldiers by citizens. I have Asperger syndrome and would appreciate any assistance with social behavior/knowledge I can get, as long as it's done politely; I appreciate the gentleness with which you've corrected my etiquette so far.
