queermail | (no subject)

Holy crap! I just realised that Queermail is being featured or advertised or something by those nice Livejournal people, and we appear to have a lot of new members and new posters!

Bearing in mind that this community has been so quiet that I almost forgot about it, I am very excited to welcome all the new posters. Please just remember:

- Please don't just post your own profile and expect people to come to you... why not have a read through the other posts? Your dream penpal might be right below you!

- STRICTLY NO HOMOPHOBIA OR TRANSPHOBIA... actually this also includes NO HETEROPHOBIA or BIPHOBIA or anything else nasty that I have seen on other online communities. We welcome all genders and sexualities of anybody who doesn't feel that they fall into the heterosexual/binary categories.

- Be honest about your availability for writing. If you can't penpal often then please say so! Don't promise somebody a letter a week when you can't deliver.

Other than that... welcome and enjoy yourself!!

Just wanted to say: It's thanks to "those nice LiveJournal people" that I found this community. (: Kudos to them! This place looks cool, and I've got a summer's worth of free time ahead of me to write letters.

I know! Serious kudos to them, I am really surprised and honoured that they would choose it to be spotlighted :D

I'm so happy this place got spotlighted; I would never have known it existed otherwise! And I was just thinking how awesome it would be to have a penpal to send real mail to. :) Thanks for making this community!
