extra ordinary thing

  • name: Camila.
    age: Nineteen.

    location: Rio de janeiro, Brazil.

  • how do you identify?: Lesbian female, bordering asexuality. I'd rather not fit into categories, though, for I have a huge disbelief in labels and I fall for people, not genders.
interests/hobbies: Hmm. Unusual photography, stupidly loud music, horror movies/stories/tales, human emotions and their infinite complications, psychological disorders, well-written novels that send shudders down my spine, art of all possible sorts, sexuality issues, spirits and other spectres. As for hobbies-- procrastinate, sleep at the oddest hours, write if only poorly, draw (although it's turning itself into an obligation rather than a hobby), photograph when the mood strikes me, read and reread, waste my time away in front of this screen with massive headphones to make sure I'm properly isolated from my own environment.
favourite books: Major understatement: I don't read half as much as I'd like to. Still, I must mention a few titles: Sherlock Holmes, Jane Eyre, The Well of Loneliness, The Memory of Water, The Ghost Orchid, Girl with a Pearl Earring, The Book Thief, The Messenger, His Dark Materials, The Shining, The Metamorphosis, Lolita etc.
favourite films: I have an odd obsession with asian/psychological/supernatural horror. So, most of my favourites are rather unknown or frequently avoided. For the sake of listing: A Tale of Two Sisters, Epitaph, Arang, Cello, The Cut, Bunshinsaba, Gabal, The Red Shoes, Muoi etc. As for non-horror pieces: Les Chansons D'amour, La Belle Personne, Girl with a Pearl Earring, The Dreamers, Paris, Je T'aime, Atonement, Sherlock Holmes, The Lovely Bones, Ghibli movies and certainly hundreds more, all very different from each other.
favourite music: From Foo Fighters and the Killers to Fiona Apple, Coldplay and A fine frenzy.

  • what would you like to send/receive?: Thoughtful letters, perhaps? Not requiring anything specially brilliant, no-- just a tad meaningful. Emails are also a possibility.
who would you like to send and receive mail from?: Whoever is inclined to keep in touch.
what countries would you like to receive mail from and send to?: I'd be happy with any, actually, but if I were to pick and choose-- well, I have something quite unhealthy, bordering obsession, for the united kingdom.
anything that you would particularly NOT like to receive?: Food, dead animals, human organs?
what would be in your dream letter or package?: As mentioned: a thoughtful letter. maybe along with a drawing, or a photograph-- perhaps even a piece of writing or a favourite quote.
anything else you'd like to add?: It's only fair that I warn you in advance: I'm emotionally unbalanced and a professional procrastinator, but I hereby promise that I will answer every letter (even if it takes rather a long while before I do). Also, I very seriously believe that sexuality and all sexual activities are a natural and fundamental part of human beings. Therefore, I have no trouble speaking of what some individuals consider "pornography"-- it quite bothers me when people promptly say it's gross or shameful.

Hello. I'm emotionally unbalanced as well, and you sound really interesting.

"photograph when the mood strikes me, read and reread, waste my time away in front of this screen with massive headphones to make sure I'm properly isolated from my own environment." <- this is pretty much me.
