Hello!
Name: Anni
Age: 23
Location: Los Angeles, CA
How do you identify?: (sexuality/gender) I feel like who I am is something that is created, every moment. I don't like the word "queer" because of its history =/ and because the word, though it could apply to me, doesn't feel like me, though I do accept it into my vocabulary, because there's not another word that I can think of that is as concise. So "queer" out of convenience, and mostly just myself, Anni. Roar.
Interests/hobbies: Wow, I have a lot of these. I guess I would say I'm a writer, but I also act a little. I have a webseries about "queer" Asian women living in Los Angeles, called That's What She Said... and this project comes out of my friends' and my production company, Pearl Girls Productions.
Favourite books: I read a lot of plays. The most recent author I've gotten into is Jhumpa Lahiri, and I'm starting to read The Namesake. There's also... George Bernard Shaw, Chekhov, Paulo Coehlo, Gabriel Garcia Marquez, Sarah Kane, Sarah Ruhl, Tennessee Williams, Hunter S. Thompson... the list goes on. Also recently read The Lovely Bones (I know, I'm so behind, reading this way, way after everyone else has read it) by Alice Sebold, and it was so good I couldn't put it down.
Favourite films: Yikes, there's so many... a few of my favorite directors are probably Guillermo Del Toro, Pedro Almodovar, Hayao Miyazaki. My favorite lesbian movie is probably Saving Face, directed by Alice Wu.
Favourite music: I really, really like M.I.A., though I've been listening to her new stuff and I'm not sure about it. Dragonette, Peaches, Lykke Li, Los Super Elegantes, K-pop... I love it all. Haha. My favorite K-Pop group is 2ne1, ftw. I love CL.
What would you like to send/receive?: Love!! Hahaha. What about e-mails? Or exchanging writerly things like poetry?
Who would you like to send and receive mail from?: My 23094832948324 fans. Haha, just kidding. Anyone who wants to talk to me... =)
What countries would you like to receive mail from and send to?: Anywhere!
Anything else you'd like to add?: This is an ulterior motive sort of thing, but my production company is looking for "queer" Korean women who live in and around LA, for a documentary that we're in the process of shooting. I'd also like to meet more queer Koreans in general, so if this is you... hollaaaaaa. Let's be friends.
And please, feel free to watch the webisodes!! My friends did a really good job on it, I think, and they are very, very funny...

cool!!!! i'm actually part of a korean organization right now called koreans united for equality-- as the name might suggest, we're trying to unite/organize queer koreans. if you're moving back to LA soon, you should check it out! website is www.kue-la.org
when/why are you moving back, if you don't mind me asking?

that and my life is all back here- friends, previous job- connections and network for future career and Vegas is REALLY desolate- its not like what people think living in Vegas would be- nothing to do here- and its really hard to meet sane people to befriend~
came to vegas more oh a whim my father had decided more than a calculated choice- but yea~ coming back to LA! excited ^____^!
not too sure when im coming back, just know that its by the end of this summer (KNOCK ON WOOD!)
