...because I dream of snailmail...
Name: Nicky
Age: 21
Location: Virginia, USA
How do you identify?: I do have a child if that means anything, but I'm pretty much into anyone. If I like your personality and you look like a good kisser, I'm pretty much gonna have a crush on you. I kiss girls and boys with no discrimination. It's just 'cause I want to. I don't want to be labeled.
Interests/hobbies: I adore listening to music. All kinds. In all languages too. I love to read. It's been a passion of mine since I was a small child. Bad dancing is a hobby of mine. I'll turn on the music and just go crazy in my living room. I make my living cutting hair, but I truly enjoy going to work everyday. I love being able to change up someone's look or just freshen up their style and making them feel good about themselves. My daughter captures a lot of my attention as well, seeing as how she's only five months old. Photography and languages also fascinate me and I'd love to go back to school and get degrees related to both. Culinary school is on my to-do list as well.
Favourite books: Omigod. You seriously want to be here all day? Anything by Tamora Pierce or Clive Cussler. Harry Potter and Twilight forever. I don't care what you think. Huckleberry Finn because my 7th grade teacher was amazing and brought that book to life. Any Chicken Soup For The Soul books. I love reading biographies about anyone, particularly musicians.
Favourite films: Once again, there's so many to choose from. If it has Elijah Wood, Sandra Bullock, Johnny Depp, or Dakota Fanning, I will watch it in a heartbeat. Titanic is the first movie I really remember seeing and it will always hold a special place in my heart. I really loved Avatar as well. Musicals! If you've seen Fiddler On The Roof or The Music Man in it's entirity, I will love you. Please also say that you know what the Sound Of Music is. It scares me that kids my age don't realize the reference Panic!AtTheDisco made to "My Favorite Things" or the fact that Gwen Stefani basically remixed "If I Were A Rich Man". RENT is a big favorite of mine, I know all the words. Also, Joseph and The Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat. I almost forgot. Latter Days. It's a movie that comes on LOGO sometimes and anytime I catch even a part of it, I'm excited, because I love it so darn much!
Favourite music: EVERYTHING. Country, pop, R&B, oldies, rock, heavy metal, jazz, classical. I seriously love it all. Current favorites include Taylor Swift, German band Tokio Hotel, Lady Gaga (but I do not want to see her music videos), Kesha, Justin Beiber (don't laugh), Usher. I have what I'm sure is an unhealthy love of Sean Paul's voice. Hanson is my favorite band and always will be.
What would you like to send/receive?: Let's start with LJ messages/email, but then once I get to know you, I'd love snail mail.
Who would you like to send and receive mail from?: Anyone. I love being able to gab with people about anything. I'm a talker. Give me a couple of prompts and I'll run with it.
What countries would you like to receive mail from and send to?: Anywhere, but I have a particular facisnation with Russia (my Russian overlord commands me to love it), Switzerland (my magical zebra lives there), and Germany (cutest twins ever! not fair). I do not speak any other languages, but if you want to teach me one, I wouldn't say no. (Also, bonus points if you understand my references)
Anything that you would particularly NOT like to receive?: Food. That's it.
What would be in your dream letter or package?: A handwritten letter. It would just be so personal and the person actually took the time to do it. If someone lived in Germany, I'd send them money to send me the German versions of the Tokio Hotel cds.
Anything else you'd like to add?: I'm a twitterer, and I spend a lot of time reading and occasionally writing fanfic. I'm outspoken, but polite. I'll give you my opinions and I want to hear yours. If we disagree, we disagree. Let's go to the next subject. I'm sure we have something in common. I daydream alot. I have crushes on famous people because I'm scared of never finding anyone as amazing as my true love that I'm not allowed to touch. I get enthusiastic about things.
Picture (optional): About 7 months old, but I just love this picture. I feel like it captures me.

Me and my Ana:

Here I look 12 and like I could be my daughter's sister instead of her mother...any suggestions on how to stop doing this?

Also, if it makes it any better, I actually prefer quite a few of the German versions over English and Reden is my absolute fave....

It's just so weird (positive, though).
Tokio Hotel first appeared in, like, 2005. His voice was still a kid's voice by then and somehow people here can't really appreciate or accept that he is just who he is, you know?
I like him, too. Recently there was a documentary about the band on tv and it was really interesting. Besides, I find it quite inspirational that despite what anyone else is saying he just stays true to himself - if that makes sense.

Now I'm curious :)
But he is definitely himself which I think is quite hard these days with society and all that.
Btw, you're awfully cute!

I want to be as confident as Bill is.
I want to be as in love with life as Stephane.
I want to be as fuck-what-they-think as Johnny.
I was wrong. Its three. But that's how it is. Sorry that it's crazy.
Also, thank you.

When I was still in school I found it difficult to even think about having such inspirations but now that I'm older (haha) it's easier.
Maybe we can keep in touch somehow (whatever is fine with me, really) and be enthusiastic about things together? :)

also, you're daughter has your nose. she's beautiful, congradulations. i think you look good like that, but if you want to look closer to 21, you could straight iron your hair once in a while, even though i'm thinking curls suit you more...
whatever. email me?
lowerclassbrat2009@hotmail.com, if you're interested.

Believe it or not, the curls were fake. My hair is naturally mostly just straight.
