and here I dreamt I was an architect;
Name: Alice, mostly, and sometimes Nate or Finch [and sometimes those two go together as a pen-name]. I'll even respond to "hey, you!" sometimes, so take your pick.
Age: 19.
Location: NJ, USA.
How do you identify?: I'm not going to say "I hate labels!" because, quite frankly, it ain't true. I really don't care. So.. yeah, mini-rant over; I'm a lesbian. I've a bit of gender dysphoria, but I've gotten more comfy with being a girl over the years--as much as I wish I could say that I'm genderqueer or anything of the sort, I can't. I'm a chick. (/thumbs up)
Interests/hobbies: Oh, goodness. Writing, writing, writing. I wouldn't be able to breathe if I ever lost my ability to write. Text-based RPG is also amazing, yesss. I also draw sometimes, and dabble in photography some other times; I've tried to learn bass guitar, I want to learn cello, I've been told I have a lovely singing voice. I play World of Warcraft and adore tabletop games like D&D, but I never have a big enough group of interested people to play with. Boo, hiss. I like dollfies/Asian ball-jointed-dolls. Yes, I'm a big little kid. Sigh.
Favourite books: 'Lost Souls', 'Exquisite Corpse', 'The Value of X' [Poppy Z. Brite], 'The Picture of Dorian Gray' [Oscar Wilde], 'Neuromancer' [William Gibson], 'The Wind-Up Bird Chronicles' [Haruki Murakami], 'Coin-Locker Babies' [Ryu Murakami], 'Bright Lights, Big City' [Jay McInerney], 'As Meat Loves Salt' -- even though it bored the hell out of me in the beginning and made me bawl my eyes out towards the end [Maria McCann].. I can list and list and list, but I should probably stop here for now.
Favourite films: 'The Royal Tenenbaums', 'Breakfast on Pluto', 'But I'm a Cheerleader!', 'Children of Men', 'The Happiness of the Katakuris', 'Brother'. There are more, but I can't think right now.
Favourite music: Radiohead/Thom Yorke, The Decemberists, Andrew Bird, Ours, deadman, Merry, caliā gari, Placebo, The Mars Volta, Blockhead, Daedelus, The Beatles, The Paper Chase, The Black Keys, Tool, Jack Johnson [he is such a bro], DJ Tiesto, Mindless Self Indulgence, Casiotone for the Painfully Alone, Like Trains and Taxis, Yann Tiersen, Neutral Milk Hotel, IMA Robot, Gogol Bordello, Moving Units, Wild Beasts, The Dresden Dolls.. embarrassing shit like Lady Gaga and Rihanna, woohoo! I really like techno and classical music, too. As for classical--Wieniawski and Paganini. I love me some tarantellas. I love them something fierce.
What would you like to send/receive?: Handwritten letters/postcards, particularly! I love snail mail, and I never get any. E-mail correspondence is alright with me, too, of course, but if you wanna jump into letter-writing right away, awesome. Also, if you write creatively or even roleplay, I think art trades would be pretty spiffy, even though I don't think I'm that great at drawing. Packages would be cool, too! I do tend to find little trinkets that remind me of people, but I never have a reason to get whatever it is because I don't know the person's address. Lame.
Who would you like to send and receive mail from?: Anyone, as long as you're a hip cat, daddy-o.
What countries would you like to receive mail from and send to?: Everywhere! I can only speak English fluently because I'm a silly American, so it's obviously my preferred language, but I do have a somewhat shaky knowledge of Japanese and French [and I'd love to learn more].
Anything that you would particularly NOT like to receive?: Insects. Uh.. I'm allergic to coconut. Please don't send me anyone's underthings, or knives, or anything particularly illegal. Or.. uh.. organs, either human or otherwise. These are things I'd like to avoid, yes.
What would be in your dream letter or package?: Adorably rambling letters with little drawings on them have always been my favourite kind. Mix tapes/CDs would be totally boss, because I'm always, always hunting for new music to devour like some sort of beast.
Anything else you'd like to add?: I love giraffes and owls, and I'm a magpie for necklaces and rings. I'm incredibly awkward and shy, so please try not to mind strange pauses if we wind up talking over messengers someday.

Hi, I like to dress up in silly costumes sometimes.

Out of silly costume. This is a bit old.
And.. it's not the best quality or anything like that, but it's the most recent, so there you go. I'd post older [read: better] ones but I'm a spazz when it comes to my hair looking good.. (/preens)

Hello Kristen! It's nice to meet you! And thank you, even though I know I'm not adorable! I'll give you my e-mail, too: kings.and.cabbages@gmail.com -- because I'm a total scatterbrain and it might be better if you message me first, or something. Oh man, I'm terrible.
