Location: Colorado, USA, soon to be moving to Texas, USA. Since I'm going to be doing a lot of field work, probably in Guatemala/Mexico, I can also promise people tasty, fun postcards.
How do you identify?: Genderqueer (prefer masculine [he/him/his] pronouns), pansexual
Interests/hobbies: Reptiles and amphibians, paleontology, reading awesome books, rock climbing, being a giant science nerd, photography (especially macro photography), web and graphic design
Favourite books: Er, I'm not going to list, but I read a lot of science fiction and fantasy, some classic literature and a lot of science books. I'm definitely looking to expand my reading list to more diverse authors, so if you have recommendations, I'd be keen. I also read a lot of comics; especially Marvel.
Favourite films: Knight's Tale, Tank Girl, The Dark Crystal, Jan Svankmajer's Faust, Alien, among others.
Favourite music: Spoon, OK Go, The Weakerthans, The Decemberists, Flogging Molly, Great Big Sea, Gaelic Storm, Tori Amos, some classical music, Queen, The Clash, The Sex Pistols, The Buzzcocks, Lady Gaga ... I'm kinda all over the place.
What would you like to send/receive?: Photography, especially wildlife photography, letters, comic books, fun non-perishable food and ingredients, letters, postcards and music.
Who would you like to send and receive mail from?: French and English speakers.
What countries would you like to receive mail from and send to?: Any and all, although I'd be particularly keen on any Hungarians out there, since I just got myself a Hungarian passport. Also I'd be very keen on meeting anyone who's doing either science or graduate school.
Anything that you would particularly NOT like to receive?: No, although I'll have to postpone the receiving of actual snail mail until late August/September, when I move to TX.
What would be in your dream letter or package?: Pictures of local wildlife, accompanied by fun stories about local nature, and then maybe some fun, cheap memorabilia from your hometown. Or a crocodile. I really like crocodiles.
