Hi all

I’m looking for some penpals for my partner, snail and / or email.
We are fairly introvert but social so don’t have many other friends and most the friends we have are straight.
We are a married female couple.
The reason I’m looking for pen-pals
Because my partner has been through many struggles in life, and I feel they’d benefit from someone that doesn’t know us personally in which she can confide and ask for advice and hopefully make some new friends along the way.

A bit about her:
She is an Asian lady (Indian) and struggles with the fact her family, friends and community has turned their back to her sexuality, this is a very heart-breaking situation for her that she bottles up.
She is in her late 30s and a survivor, having faced problem after problem in her life.

We own pets and like animals a lot, though she didn’t really have pets growing up but now owns them with me.

Preferred pen-pal
Preferably females of the LGBT community, possibly gay men.
Any ages but over 25s preferred.
Anywhere around the world.
If you are also Indian it’s a plus due to the things you can relate to, I’m non Asian and sometimes it’s a barrier in certain areas, but really any ethnicity.

Favorite films: Well, to start out, I collect lots of Disney or animated movies from when I was younger. My favorite is Beauty & the Beast; and then the list goes to Little Mermaid, Tarzan, Emperor's New Groove, the Aladdin trilogy, Aristocats, and Anastasia, so on and so forth…

What would be in your dream letter or package? The getting of a letter or email just makes me smile; so consistent responses would be awesome. I’m not talking about every day, though we can do that if we go the digital route; but I would like to keep this going for a while. I miss the daily, weekly, or monthly doses of happiness I get just from knowing someone took the time to reach out to me.

Interests/hobbies: oh boy so many interests and hobbies. WELL. I'm a huge history nerd so I geek out by watching a ton of the history channel and i'm proud to say over 90% of my books are historical/political in nature if not social science in general. I also love fashion, art (i'm a studio art minor, I adore painting and photography), traveling & trying new foods, rock n roll, vintage photos, reading, playing video games to an extent: I like call of duty, ace attorney, pokemon, and the sims but I don't get sucked into them. I like walking around cities, hanging out, having fun convos, and lots of other things.

Interests/hobbies: Writing, Reading, torturing fictional characters... But anyway, I have a lot of interests, but I also don'tget to delve into some of them as often as I'd like. I am a TOTAL language geek, and I currently am almost trilingual (english, spanish, German), but I'd like to learn about 10 more, including Finnish and Lithuanian. Yeah. I know. I'm crazy. Favourite books: Oh dear jesus. where to begin. I love books that are strange. I confess that since becoming a full time student on the quarter system, I have had very little time to actually READ anything, and I'm in the middle of about six books. But I really like fantasy novels, like the Night Watch series by Sergei Lukyanenko, and I'm also a fan of Warren Ellis, James Patterson, Dean Koontz, etc. I know there's a scad of books that I NEED to read, such as anything by Gaiman and Pratchett, but I just haven't yet, please don't kill me lol.

Favourite films: My mom used to be a film studies teacher, so um. almost anything. Except for really stupid movies like Jackass or movies that look to be entirely about fart jokes. My favorite genres are fantasy, psychological thriller, drama, and action movies. I fucking love action movies, especially stupid ones that are just there for the sake of LET'S LOOK AT EXPLOSIONS.

Favourite music: I prefer foreign music to American music, and my favorite genres are rock, metal, industrial and "other" since I have some strange shit in my ipod. My favorite band is a German band called OOMPH! who are listed as Rammstein's inspirations. I also like VNV Nation, Nine Inch Nails, Nirvana, Van Canto(a capella metal, how can you NOT like that), Nightwish, Sonata Arctica, Icon of Coil, Letzte Instanz, Kaizer's Orchestra.... and of course I've got a soft spot for the stuff I listened to when I was growing up like Eve 6, Crazytown, *NSYNC, old No Doubt, etc. I also have a bit of guilty pleasures, like Banghra music, and Limp Bizkit, and old seventies German pop music, or those old dance hits from the 90s that were played around the 8th grade dance.

What would you like to send/receive?: Mostly emails or IMs, I have no time to write and will frequently forget that I have mail I need to send.

Who would you like to send and receive mail from?: pretty much anyone? I really like to talk to other people who are somewhere around the same area as me in the gender spectrum, just because I haven't found many people to talk to about it, but outside of that? just people who share my interests.

What countries would you like to receive mail from and send to?: anywhere. If it's somewhere that English isn't the main language, I'd like to learn others, but right now German would probably be the best foreign language to send me. Or Finnish if you can translate it in the email because damn y'all's language is hard xD

I'm not into young adult books at all, really (don't even get me started on Twilight). My library's somewhat lacking (I do live in Missouri), so it's hard for me to find really great books, unless they're insanely cheap on Amazon, haha.

Favourite films: A Clockwork Orange, Control (2007 film), Mysterious Skin, 1984 (1984 film), Bad Education (La mala educación), Zerophilia, Fight Club, Hedwig and the Angry Inch, The Adventures of Sebastian Cole, Snatch, Lock, Stocks, and Two Smoking Barrels, etc, etc. I watch a ton of movies, but it's been a while since I've seen something amazing. Favourite music: My last.fm page. But if you lack ambition, here's a summary: Punk rock's my life (to put it simply), but I generally listen to stuff from the 70's and 80's. I'm real into post-punk and glam rock and ska and electronica and stuff like that. You probably really should click on that link. Some bands I like, though: Joy Division, David Bowie, The Clash, The Fall, Wire, Bauhaus, Public Image Ltd., The Cure, Richard Hell, Gang of Four, Televsion, Buzzcocks, Iggy Pop, The Vibrators, T.
