Over the past year I've come to believe I can no longer deny that I am both a lesbian and a Christian. Granted, all this is just one aspect of my Craxy Life (aka crazy life). Some of my other labels include introvert, adult ADD, goofy, socially awkward in large crowds, and deep thinker... oh, I also have Swyer's Syndrome which you've probably never heard of.

How do you identify?: At the moment, I identify as non-binary. It's a pretty recent realization and I'm not sure what it means regarding my sexual identity, yet.

Interests/hobbies: I read a lot of fiction and also some books on society, gender studies, queer studies, literary history and literary theory. I play classical music and sing in a feminist choir. I'm very much into Postcrossing, which is sending postcards to strangers around the world, but I also really like receving mail from people I actually know. I'm interested in literature, gender studies, queer studies, queer theory, Ireland and many other things. I'm in some fandoms, e.g. Harry Potter, BBC Sherlock and Lord of the Rings. I drink a lot of tea and use most of my little amount of extra money on books and tea.

Favourite books: The Harry Potter series (I'm a huge fan!), Oscar Wilde's work (especially his plays), Emma Donoghue's novels, Sarah Water's novels, Donna Tartt's The Secret History, Margaret Atwood's The Handmaid's Tale. James Joyce's The Portrait of the Artist as a Young Man. Of course the Lord of the Rings trilogy. Wilslava Szymborska's poems. Stephen Fry's novels, especially Making History. For Finnish writers: Pirkko Saisio and Johanna Sinisalo are my favourites. Recently, I have been reading and enjoying Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie's Half of a Yellow Sun, J.K. Rowling's A Casual Vacancy, Tove Janssons' Moomin stories and Jonas Gardell's Torka aldrig tårar utan handskar -series (about people with AIDS in Sweden in the 80s). I'm very interested in hearing about your favourite books and authors!

Favourite films: I have seen a lot fewer films than read books... The Man in the Iron Mask is one of my all-time favourites. Wilde, where Stephen Fry plays Oscar Wilde is phenomenal. V for Vendetta, Apollo 13 and The Lord of the Rings movies. I'm quite excited about the Hunger Games movies.

Favourite music: I'm not sure if I have a genre I prefer over all others. Recently I have been listening to Disco Enseble, Gossip, Gogol Bordello, Clann Zú and System of a Down.

What would you like to send/receive?: Letters and postcards! Snail mail, preferably. I can also send (and wouldn't mind receving) samples of tea or candy.

Those are the only two languages that I speak at all.

Favourite films: I haven't seen as many movies as I wish I had. I love children's movies because I believe that the relationships are so much more believable, the humor is more light-hearted, and because I very rarely leave feeling badly about myself.

Favourite music: I like music that is light-hearted and upbeat, generally speaking, especially folk. Again, I am not as well-versed in music as I would like to be. Some of the bands I listen to frequently include Mumford and Sons, Sunset Rubdown, Iron & Wine, Josh Ritter, Kimya Dawson, The Bird and the Bee, and Andrea Gibson. (Does spoken word poetry count? It has lyrics ...)

What would you like to send/receive?: I can knit hats and scarves, I write stories and poems for people, I make awful paintings, I tear things out of magazines, and I can record myself reading stories for you. I'd like to send tangible letters and gifts, but I would also be okay with e-mail, since it's faster and more convenient for some people.

Interests/hobbies: oh boy so many interests and hobbies. WELL. I'm a huge history nerd so I geek out by watching a ton of the history channel and i'm proud to say over 90% of my books are historical/political in nature if not social science in general. I also love fashion, art (i'm a studio art minor, I adore painting and photography), traveling & trying new foods, rock n roll, vintage photos, reading, playing video games to an extent: I like call of duty, ace attorney, pokemon, and the sims but I don't get sucked into them. I like walking around cities, hanging out, having fun convos, and lots of other things.

Favourite books: i'll try not to make this long since I love reading. walk this way: the autobiography of aersomith, the dirt: motley crue, slash, a thousand splendid suns, memoirs of a geisha, the commitment, the kid, east of eden, jane eyre, presidential confidential, hamlet, great expectations, the joy luck club, freakonomics, a team of rivals, sherlock holmes, the client, etc etc etc geez I read too much.

Favourite films: : I'm honestly not too keen on movies, which I find odd since I love television shows. but my favorites are inglorious basterds, the breakfast club, and a-team. my tv shows: the league, it's always sunny, archer, community, modern family, friends, keeping up with the kardashians, gossip girl, and misfits.

Favourite music: I can legit listen to anything. but I do looove aerosmith, guns n roses, motley crue, red hot chili peppers, fleetwood mac, m.i.a, led zeppelin, the beatles, the rolling stones, and pink. but really, anything.

Interests/hobbies: I'm reading English Literature at university, so, reading. Music takes up too much of my money. Gigs - I like the feeling that everyone is there for the same reason. My horse, Jacob, he is my bestest BFG. I play the drums mostly, I have other musical skills. I like drinking coffee and watching people. How do you identify?: basically? A gay man in a chick body. or, if you're into labels, genderqueer transmasculine pansexual, but that is just such a mouthful. and I'm taken :3

Interests/hobbies: Writing, Reading, torturing fictional characters... But anyway, I have a lot of interests, but I also don'tget to delve into some of them as often as I'd like. I am a TOTAL language geek, and I currently am almost trilingual (english, spanish, German), but I'd like to learn about 10 more, including Finnish and Lithuanian. Yeah. I know. I'm crazy. I also love psychology and poking around inside what makes the mind tick, because crazy characters make for interesting characters. I love music, both my parents are opera singers and my dad sings on movie soundtracks, so music is always an important thing. I like a lot of computer stuff and video games as well. Oh and Roleplaying. I roleplay online, via IM, in 1 on 1 situations, I'm also up for email RPing, and if you live near me, D&D is fine too :D

Favourite books: Oh dear jesus. where to begin. I love books that are strange. I confess that since becoming a full time student on the quarter system, I have had very little time to actually READ anything, and I'm in the middle of about six books. But I really like fantasy novels, like the Night Watch series by Sergei Lukyanenko, and I'm also a fan of Warren Ellis, James Patterson, Dean Koontz, etc. I know there's a scad of books that I NEED to read, such as anything by Gaiman and Pratchett, but I just haven't yet, please don't kill me lol.

Favourite films: My mom used to be a film studies teacher, so um. almost anything. Except for really stupid movies like Jackass or movies that look to be entirely about fart jokes. My favorite genres are fantasy, psychological thriller, drama, and action movies. I fucking love action movies, especially stupid ones that are just there for the sake of LET'S LOOK AT EXPLOSIONS.

Favourite music: I prefer foreign music to American music, and my favorite genres are rock, metal, industrial and "other" since I have some strange shit in my ipod. My favorite band is a German band called OOMPH! who are listed as Rammstein's inspirations. I also like VNV Nation, Nine Inch Nails, Nirvana, Van Canto(a capella metal, how can you NOT like that), Nightwish, Sonata Arctica, Icon of Coil, Letzte Instanz, Kaizer's Orchestra.... and of course I've got a soft spot for the stuff I listened to when I was growing up like Eve 6, Crazytown, *NSYNC, old No Doubt, etc. I also have a bit of guilty pleasures, like Banghra music, and Limp Bizkit, and old seventies German pop music, or those old dance hits from the 90s that were played around the 8th grade dance.

What would you like to send/receive?: Mostly emails or IMs, I have no time to write and will frequently forget that I have mail I need to send.

Who would you like to send and receive mail from?: pretty much anyone? I really like to talk to other people who are somewhere around the same area as me in the gender spectrum, just because I haven't found many people to talk to about it, but outside of that? just people who share my interests.

What countries would you like to receive mail from and send to?: anywhere. If it's somewhere that English isn't the main language, I'd like to learn others, but right now German would probably be the best foreign language to send me. Or Finnish if you can translate it in the email because damn y'all's language is hard xD
