How do you identify?: Straight and female, although my gay best friend says I'm more of a gay man than he is, and I spend way too much time at Pride festivals and gay bars because I get along better with gay men and women than most of their straight counterparts.
Interests/hobbies: I love making videos, especially the process of editing them (here's a video I recently made from the footage I nabbed at the Indianapolis Gay Pride Parade and Festival a few weekends ago: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZeeHUvmSfCg.) I also love to read books and write. I also clogdance (I know, what the hell IS that????) and I used to be a professional clown. Yep.
Favourite shows: Work of Art: The Next Great Artist, Project Runway, Chelsea Lately, The Soup, Squidbillies, Glee, and Top Chef are the shows I watch now. But I love to pop in DVDs of the UK and US Queer as Folk, The Mighty Boosh, and also Weeds are some of my favorite "old" shows that no longer produce new episodes. I also love Roseanne because it reminds me of my family and its so funny.
Favourite books: Anything by Neil Gaiman and Terry Pratchett. And when the two of them wrote "Good Omens" together... I think I orgasmed for like four months straight after reading it. Brilliant.
Favourite films: I'm obsessed right now with Aidan Gillen, so any movie with him in it is currently in my top favorites. I've also recently discovered a trilogy of movies called, "Eating Out" and they are HILARIOUS. Go watch them NOW.
Favourite music: The Beatles are my favorite band of all time, followed closely by the Scissor Sisters, Queen, Journey, Alice Cooper, KISS, and a little bit of The Killers. But I love to listen to pretty much anything.
What would you like to send/receive?: I like lengthy letters, maybe with a little humor in them, I like hearing new music, so feel free to send CDs along, and maybe pictures of random things.
Who would you like to send and receive mail from?: sexy gay boys I can dream were straight or even bi. :P Just kidding, I'll take letters from anyone. I love e-mail, too, so either way.
What countries would you like to receive mail from and send to?: I only read/write English! :( I know, I'm so lame. I took French in high school, but it didn't stick.
Anything that you would particularly NOT like to receive?: Drug paraphernalia... anything else is cool! I don't want anthrax either, or anything that could kill me.
What would be in your dream letter or package?: private thoughts and daily recollections of interesting things that have happened... maybe poetry or song lyrics... recs for books or movies or music... and just fun! Fun in written form!
Anything else you'd like to add?: I'm pretty dedicated about writing and I would hope that someone who responds to me is the same way. :) Perhaps e-mails would be a good way to start and then move on to letters and then who knows?
