Age: 18; I'm a recent high school graduate and I'm still trying to figure out what to do with myself.

How do you identify?: I'm a lesbian. Gender wise, I consider myself much more of a blank slate. I do come across as male to a lot of people. I've been known to get my hair buzzed and I wear men's clothes almost exclusively. Every time I go to a restaurant with my parents, I get called "sir", so my dad just calls me junior to tease me. *sigh*

Interests/hobbies: Manga, Surfing the internet, I was raised on shows like Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Xena, and Star Trek, Reading fanfiction, taking photos, putting together wooden puzzles(or wooden models, depending on what you call them), Carpentry, I absolutely love power tools ;}

Favorite books:  Harry Potter, Dragons of Pern Series (What I've read of it), Anthem, politics, a lot of manga, and I enjoy looking through books on home design (Which I need to do more often); I used to read a lot of classics back in Middle School, including Jules Verne, but I find a lot of heavy reading can be tedious for me. If it doesn't keep me engaged, I usually leave it half-finished.

Favorite films: Pump Up The Volume, Pirates of the Caribbean, Shawshank Redemption; I'll watch just about anything, although I'm not a big fan of horror. I tend to watch things like Jeepers Creepers and Zombie Films with my mother, since she loves those things, even if I am rather jumpy. I can't remember a time in my life where I didn't like watching Miyazaki films. Anime movies in general a pretty cool.

Favorite music: I like a lot of different things, and I'll listen to just about anything, unless I can't feel the energy from it. I bore easily. I don't usually listen to songs for the words, unless it's something from Matt Nathanson, John Mayer, Sara McLaughlin, or Passenger. I've been listening to a lot of indie and ambient in the past couple of years. I'll probably listen to anything instrumental.

What would you like to send/receive?: Emails and the like, to begin with. Eventually, I'd like to send some small gifts through regular mail, but not until I know you well enough.

Who would you like to send and receive mail from?: I tend to be really comfortable with guys, or with really easy-going people. A warning though: I have a horribly inappropriate streak. If you can't take a dirty joke or being teased, you probably shouldn't talk to me.

What countries would you like to receive mail from and send to?: I can't speak any other language than English, so fluent English is a must. I'd prefer the US, just because it would be cheaper to ship things.

Anything that you would particularly NOT like to receive?: (eg. "food/candy with nuts")
Nothing gory or pornographic, no drugs, nothing I would be afraid to show my parents, nothing religious, and nothing political(unless  you know it wouldn't come off as offensive to me)

What would be in your dream letter or package?: Anything to do with foxes is always good.

Anything else you'd like to add?: I don't own any decent pictures of myself. I'm sorta camera shy.

It doesn't help that I'm a large person with broad shoulders. The only people who realize I'm a girl, half the time, are people I've already met.

I was trying to figure out why you looked familiar, and then I realized my bro, Tyler, looks sort of like you in the face. Of course, he does come off as a bit girly himself, but meh. What I mean is that both of you have these really open, friendly faces.

I would think that that would have more to do with how out you are and what the local tolerance level is in general. More likely than not it just has to do with how well known around your area or your school, or how confident you come off as being.

Me though, I tend to get hit on more on the internet, which isn't always a good thing. I'd flirt with a lot of different girls in a friendly sort of way, but my high school is in a small town and most of these people I've known most of my life so it would be very weird to go after any of them, or they're just straight.

Guess the best thing to do would be to get more involved in the local queer scene? I don't know. I haven't even gotten to that point yet, myself.

this might be a couple of days late, but i wonder if you'd like to exchange e-mail addresses?

i read some manga (not much lately, but i blame uni for it xD), am a major book geek, love harry potter and the miyazaki movies. i also have a pretty mixed taste in music (a big weakness for indie and alternative, though) as well as in movies and ... well ... i think you seem like an interesting person xD

i'm 21 years old, bi, girl as regards to gender. i study french and english, but will soon be switching to english and chinese.

oh, and i live in europe, hope you don't mind? (since you mentioned it up there 'cause of the shipping costs. i, too, would rather know you better before having to worry about all that, though xD)
