Location: Between Rochester, NY and Amherst, MA (woo, college)
How do you identify?: Female... something. I like women, and I'm attracted to men, but I don't know if I could ever have a relationship with one. However, every time I try to make a decision, I always turn out to be wrong.
Interests/hobbies: Drawing (especially portraits, especially with charcoal), painting, reading books/fanfic/comics/manga, singing, musical theater, theater tech, farming (especially organic), loooooong walks (not kidding, during the summer I usually walk between 3 and 10 miles a day), biology (with a concentration in marine biology/infectious diseases), chemistry, physics (especially quantum, in that I think it's awesome, but I don't think I can grasp anything beyond the basics) knitting, listening to people talk about subjects they're passionate about, and trying to make the world a better place.
Oh, and of late, playing way too much Pokemon. XD
Favourite books: (in no particular order) Good Omens by Neil Gaiman and Terry Prachett, The Great Gatsby by F. Scott Fitzgerald, Tamora Pierce novels, East of Eden by John Steinbeck, Harry Potter (especially Order of the Phoenix), Lord of the Rings, the Nightrunner series by Lynn Flewelling, Party Monster by James St. James, Mama Day by Gloria Naylor, The Picture of Dorian Gray by Oscar Wilde, Me Talk Pretty One Day by David Sedaris.
I also have an unabashed love for shitty, shitty sci-fi and fantasy novels.
Favourite films: (also in no particular order) Little Miss Sunshine, Brick, The Boondock Saints, Iron Man, But I'm A Cheerleader!, My Neighbor Totoro, The Brothers Bloom (!! I love this film so much), Kiss Kiss Bang Bang, Aladdin, The Aristocats, SyFy original movies
Favourite music: I love music. I love music in all shapes, sizes, and genres. I like anything so long as it makes me happy, and that can range from Ludacris to Panic! at the Disco to Okkervil River to Weezer to Taylor Swift to Vivaldi, and anything in between.
Currently, I think my favorite bands go something like this. (Still in no particular order!) The Arcade Fire, Fall Out Boy, Old Crow Medicine Show, Cobra Starship, MC Lars, Bare: A Pop Opera, The Decemberists, Sloan, The Matches, Stars, My Chemical Romance, Sufjan Stevens, The Postal Service, Death Cab For Cutie, Spring Awakening, Paul Simon, This Is My Suitcase, RENT, Mindless Self Indulgence, The Mountain Goats, Lady Gaga, Tegan and Sara, and Final Fantasy. Also, top 40 radio, 'cause it's the best to listen to while driving around with friends. :)
What would you like to send/receive?: Letters, small packages, mix-cds, exchange of art... anything, really. :)
Also, as I said in my interests section, I love listening to people talk (or write, in this case!) about subjects they're passionate about. It doesn't even really matter the subject. If it's something I can talk about back, great! If not, then I can be a genuinely interested ear.
Who would you like to send and receive mail from?: Anyone! :D
What countries would you like to receive mail from and send to?: Sadly, English speaking countries only (or people from other countries who know English). :( Not-knowing-other-languages fail.
Anything that you would particularly NOT like to receive?: Anything mean? But I guess that's kind of obvious. Otherwise, I'm down with whatever.
What would be in your dream letter or package?: Enough money to pay for college? :P But other than that... I guess, just, something that makes me grin and reminds me of how people are awesome.
