Name: Lyndal
Age: 19
Location: Sydney, Australia
How do you identify?: Bisexual female
Interests: Pretty much everything. No really, I find so many things facinating.
Hobbies: Singing, bushwalking, volunteering, learning and I love dancing but I'm definitely not good at it!
Favourite books: The Harry Potter series, Artemis Fowl series (those books will never get old), The Weather Makers by Tim Flannery (a book about climate change) Holding the Man by Timothy Conigrave (a true story about two gay men coping with homophobia and AIDs in the 70s in Australia). I'm not much of a reader, I always take ages to read a book. I tend to prefer documentaries, especially those done by Tim Flannery, David Attenborough and Tony Robinson :)
Favourite films: Hook, The Fifth Element (these movies have been my favourite since I was 5 years old), Paradise Now, As It Is In Heaven, Lord of the Rings movies, Harry Potter movies and Disney movies.
Favourite music: Changes according to how I feel; the only constant is Coldplay. For instance, right now I love techno remixes but yesterday I was obsessed with World Music.
What would you like to send/receive?: Recieveing an email or letter would be amazing! I don't expect/want any kind of gift, just words will do me!
Who would you like to send and receive mail from?: I'd be happy to hear from anyone really.
What countries would you like to receive mail from and send to?: Anywhere.
Anything that you would particularly NOT like to receive?: Umm... nothing creepy or overtly sexual please. I'm new to the internet, be kind.
What would be in your dream letter or package?: Just whatever you want to say. I would love to hear about your experiences as a fellow queer but whatever's on your mind is fine too.
About Me:
I'm a recently out-ed bisexual girl in her first year of university. I decided to be honest about my orientation because I moved to the city for uni and there's a lot more acceptance here. My sexuality has never bothered me much but I thought, hey, why lie? So now I'm in the Queer Collective at uni and what I lack in gayness I make up for in passion for gay rights!
I study Science which I LOVE but I'm also interested in a wide variety of things, including... just about everything :) I'm not a creative person but I absolutely worship creativity of all kinds. I love to learn, explore, engage, dream and help make the world a better place.
So if you're up for a chat or correspondence drop me a line over LJ first then maybe we could exchange emails and/or addresses.
Love and happiness,
Lyndal
