How do you identify?: (sexuality/gender) Pansexual/Female (I've never thought hard about it until reading here... usually self-identify as bisexual in an offhand way, but I've had attraction/amorous interaction with people who fit various identifications outside of the male/female binary on many occasions so... I guess that's it!)
Interests/hobbies: Knitting, writing, singing; those are the three biggies. I'm into a lot of things. I have three cats and far too much yarn and sewing material. I'm voraciously interested in the process by which fictions come to be published, as that's what I'd like to do with my life. Science fascinates me.
Favourite books: Anything that Anthony Burgess ever touched, Labyrinths by Jorge Luis Borges, Blindsight by Peter Watts, The Road by Cormack McCarthy... all well-constructed dystopias. The Tielmaran Chronicles by Katya Reimann.
Favourite films: The Quiet Earth, Repo! The Genetic Opera, Titus, The Prestige, Practical Magic, The Last Unicorn
Favourite music: I listen to some of everything except for smooth jazz. Faith and the Muse, Dead Can Dance, Azam Ali (and other projects she's been involved in), Nightwish, Kamelot, Hammerfall, Iced Earth, Seabound, VNV Nation, and on and on it goes.
What would you like to send/receive?: Anything, especially handwritten things, and music. I love music. And yarn. I love yarn.
Who would you like to send and receive mail from?: Anybody!
What countries would you like to receive mail from and send to?: Anywhere, so long as it is either A: written in English or B: supplied with a lot of assistance! I guarantee you I would TRY to read in other languages, and I speak a very wee bit of German.
Anything that you would particularly NOT like to receive?: (eg. "food/candy with nuts") Overtly sexual materials; beyond that, it's all applies.
What would be in your dream letter or package?: A long, handwritten, hand-illustrated letter about something very real. And some yarn. :)
Anything else you'd like to add?: Craft trades intrigue me a lot. If anyone is in the area, I like the idea of get-togethers, especially for writers. I'm the NaNoWriMo ML for my town this year, so if any of my wrimos are out there, please drop me a line :)
