I was debating whether or not to join this community and I think you just tipped the scale for me.
I've got a conversational level of ASL, although I tend to sign more in English word order. (eep.) My original college major was Deaf Education, but I switched before I got up there to Liberal Arts and then Psychology. I regret this now.
I love Harry Potter and Pride & Prejudice, both the book and the movie for P&P.
I LOVE Firefly. I have my own Jayne!hat, a set of goslings (for juggling) with their own Jayne!hats, and the closest boots to River's I could find. I had very mixed feelings about Serenity.
