How do you identify?: Recently out (apparently femme) lesbian, though I identified as bisexual/pansexual from middle school up until mid-sophomore year.
Interests/hobbies: I love opera, ballroom dancing, deep conversations, literature, art, and basketball. I don’t play sports (competitive ballroom dancing not included), but I love to watch. I’m a self-identified Trekkie as well, so watch out.
Favourite books: Hunchback of Notre Dame (all-time favorite), Harry Potter series, Count of Monte Cristo, Phantom of the Opera, Pride and Prejudice, Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland, anything Edgar Allan Poe, the Sherlock Holmes series, Night, Julius Caesar, Fahrenheit 451, The Silence of the Lambs series, Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas, The Strange Case of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde, The Legend of Sleepy Hollow, Angels and Demons, FanFiction, comics (notably the Batman comics)
Favourite films: Edward Scissorhands, The Cabinet of Doktor Caligari, Phantom of the Opera (Lon Chaney Sr.), Disney’s Alice in Wonderland, The Star Trek series, All the Queen’s Men, Dark Knight, Labyrinth, But I’m a Cheerleader, The Crow, Nightmare on Elm Street (original series), Were the World Mine, Disney’s Sleeping Beauty, Disney’s The Lion King
Favourite music: I love all different types of music. Alice Cooper, Aerosmith, Lady Gaga, Mozart, Andre Rieu, Malice Mizer, Gackt, Voltaire, Frank Sinatra, Run DMC, Alex Swings Oscar Sings!, Sondheim, The Beatles, Garou, Miyavi- to name a few.
What would you like to send/receive?: Emails, though I’m big on the instant-messaging (as I can access it from any location). I don’t give out my address to just anyone for obvious reasons.
Who would you like to send and receive mail from?: Anyone who doesn’t classify as a creeper basically.
What countries would you like to receive mail from and send to?: I don’t have a preference, though I am in the process of learning Spanish (semi-fluent) and Japanese (beginner’s level), so someone living in a country where either is spoken would be a perk.
Anything that you would particularly NOT like to receive?: Well, actual in-your-postbox mail at the moment, and e-mail spam would be a no.
What would be in your dream letter or package?: I’d have to say a well-written letter full of ideas and emotions. It’s always interesting to hear what other people have to say, and their feelings on different topics. I don’t care much for material items, sentimentality counts more.
Anything else you'd like to add?: I’m not usually visibly logged onto LiveJournal, but I’m good at keeping up correspondence- even once I’m immersed in school. I'm an active council member at my school's GSA- and I care a lot for LGBT politics. I'm also Jewish, though more reformed.
