Meeting New People? Cool!
Jun. 26th, 2010 06:57 pmName: Kris
Age: 28
Location: Boston, MA (for now)
How do you identify?: genderqueer, slightly more female than male, use female pronouns, lesbian
Interests/hobbies: Gaming (of the video and board/tabletop varieties), cooking, chemistry, biology, having fun with friends, long drives, listening to people, music.
Favourite books: Jane Eyre. That girl could work it.
Favourite films: Once (an independent Irish film), anything Star Trek or Star Wars, BSG, Dr. Who, Grey's Anatomy, ER, House, (yeah, so the last few are TV shows, but ok...I really don't see that many movies or watch that much TV to be honest).
Favourite music: Punk, Top 40 (yes, I know those two are inherently at odds), folky stuff like Caitie Curtis and the like, Jazz standards, like Ella Fitzgerald, Louis Armstrong, Billie Holiday (my personal favorite), Nat King Cole, John Coltrane...I could go on and on and on. Music is something I thrive on.
What would you like to send/receive?: Letters, Emails, trinkets, small stuff.
Who would you like to send and receive mail from?: Absolutely anyone over the age of 21. I love meeting new queer girls, but most of my friends are gay men, and I love them too. Also, always love meeting allies of the gay community, it helps me not feel so alienated at times.
What countries would you like to receive mail from and send to?: Any, though I might not be able to send too much to countries that require a ton of postage. Also, you'd need to speak either English or German, because those are the only two languages I can really get by in.
Anything that you would particularly NOT like to receive?: (eg. "food/candy with nuts"), food isn't something I'm interested in recieving. I also don't want to get body parts, bombs, bullets, or your blood in a vial in the mail.
What would be in your dream letter or package?: A thoughtfully worded letter, with perhaps a picture of something local to you or a trinket such as a rock, or a magnet, etc.
Anything else you'd like to add?: I'm getting a degree in biochemistry, and absolutely am in love with science. I'm a really laid back, fun-loving person. I really enjoy meeting new people and making new friends. I'd like to exchange emails or lj info first before diving in and giving you my address (one, it's temporary right now, and two, I really don't want a stalker). I have some medical problems that may keep me from writing from time to time, but rest assured, I'll always reply...I just may be dealing with other things at the immediate moment :).
Picture (optional): will be happily provided in an email. I'm too lazy to root one out right now that's recent enough to show and isn't something like me in my pajamas in the woods (there's an explanation...I was camping....).
