Age: 33. After perusing some other entries, admitting my age makes me feel rather ancient and kind of like a creeper. Oh noes! D:

Location: Washington, DC metro area

How do you identify?: (sexuality/gender) Hm. Well, I'm sexually attracted to men, emotionally/spiritually attracted to women, and I really have no interest in getting down with anyone. So, yeah. There's not a good answer to this question. :P

Interests/hobbies: Music (I'm classically trained in voice), writing (mostly fanfiction, predominantly in the Buffyverse, the Whoniverse, and Glee. I dabble in Charmed and Supernatural, too.), Diet Pepsi, cigarettes, hanging out on D-Listed, stalking following Shannen Doherty on Twitter, and in general being an obnoxious wretch. YAY!

Favourite books:



I have degrees in English Lit and Classical Lit, so I read quite a bit, and my tastes are best described as, um, eclectic? Yes, we'll go with that.

It would probably be easier instead to list my favorite authors, so let's do that.

Homer, Euripides, Aeschylus, Sophocles, Apollodorus, Horace, Juvenal, Plautus, Shakespeare (Macbeth is epic, yo), the Bronte sisters, Kate Chopin, Emerson, Hawthorne, etc.

For more modern fare, I'm unabashedly a fan of mystery novels, and I will read anything in that genre, from procedurals to cozies. I prefer female authors, simply because I find them superior. Just my own peccadillo.

Favourite films: Clue. Srsly, it's like crack to me. I'm also a huge fan of horror movies, except torture porn; that's not my bag. A Nightmare on Elm Street, Halloween, and their sequels enthrall me. We won't mention reboots, will we? No.

Favourite music: Oh, dear. Well, it's predominantly Top 40, but I'm perpetually stuck in the 80s, so I adore the divas of that time: Madonna, Cher, Belinda Carlisle, Kylie Minogue, Janet Jackson, Taylor Dayne, Pat Benatar, Laura Branigan, etc. Actually, I pretty much adore all music and my iPod is ridiculous. Just please don't speak to me of Beyonce and her lacefronts, Rihanna and her total lack of ability, or any tween stars (you know who they are). *shudder*

Yep, if I wasn't gay, my taste in music would all but herald it.

What would you like to send/receive?: Well, this is an interesting question, isn't it? :X

Emails or LJ comments would be preferable. While I enjoy snail mail, I'm rubbish at writing letters and would prefer not giving out my address until some kind of friendship has been established.

Who would you like to send and receive mail from?: Even more interesting!

What countries would you like to receive mail from and send to?: All over! I love to travel and meet all kinds of people. I'm fluent in English, and my French is (barely) passable. My Spanish, Italian, and Gujarati is extremely limited, though I'm working on it. I can read Latin and ancient Greek, but composing is more challenging. So, if you're dead, consider English.

Anything that you would particularly NOT like to receive?: Death threats, dead things, anything related to Twilight.

What would be in your dream letter or package?: Matt Damon.

Anything else you'd like to add?: No matter how bitchy you think I am, I'm actually a lot worse. But I can be awesomely nice too. When I can be bothered. ;)

I can -totally- get behind that. There needs to be a special chamber though where I can put people who don't believe me when I tell them my disposition tends to be as such when you get right down to it, and are then surprised when it turns out to be true.
