Jul. 26th, 2010 08:59 pmName: Katherine.
Age: 16
Location:
How do you identify?: Bisexual, female.
Interests/Hobbies: Reading, Doctor Who, activism, traveling, cooking, social studies, Torchwood, Supernatural, House, CSI, foreign cultures, music, horror movies, er… trying to seem more interesting than I am, it seems. I like a lot of things, alright, let's just say that.
Favourite Books: The Discworld novels, Harry Potter, anything by Stephen King, the classics (especially Oscar Wilde's works), American Gods by Neil Gaiman, Good Omens, Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy, The Vampire Chronicles, Sherlock Holmes, T.S. Eliot's Complete Works. Many, many more, but I won't bore you.
Favourite Films: Rocky Horror Picture Show, El Orphanto, Rattle & Hum, Fight Club, Across the Universe, Sherlock Holmes (2009), Blair Witch Project ('favourite' in that I won't ever, ever watch it again because it scared the hell out of me the first time and possibly made me never go camping again, you understand), Princess Bride, and the problem with these survey type things is that you submit it and afterward, you realize about 20 movies that you like way better than the ones you actually put down.
Favourite Music: I am an audiophile, and you would be hard-pressed to find music I don't like. The music I love, though, includes U2, classic rock, Adam Lambert, Josh Ritter, Kid Rock, Ben Folds, Elton John, country music, not opera or hardcore rap. I can pretty much carry on a conversation about whatever musician you like, not gonna lie.
What would you like to send/receive?: Emails, letters, whatever you like, really. Stuff, too. Like stories, drawings, photos, candy, whatever!
Who would you like to send and receive mail from?: Anybody! Anyone who thinks they'd like talking to me, or I'd like talking to them, or that thinks we would get along equally well.
What countries would you like to receive mail from and send to?: English-speaking ones, preferably. I mean, you can absolutely try writing me letters in Swedish or Japanese or Welsh or anything, but you'll be sorely disappointed when your reply comes back and all it is is a bunch of Google-translated gibberish. "Hello, friend of new making! Badly smile had I done when your letter was received by myself. I inhabit land at Canada-land, also I activities fun I find is word-looking at in books, listening to melodic notes through i-Pod, and visiting friends people." I just, I wouldn't recommend it is all I'm saying.
What would be in your dream letter or package?: If it's a letter? Words. Maybe arranged in such a way as to make stories, poems or anything. If it's a package? I'd just love you to death for sending me something. I'd probably get all grateful and mushy and stuff.
Anything else you'd like to add?: I am very sorry this whole thing looks like a essay or some shit. Sometimes I ramble. Also, I'm an agnostic liberal, but shy at the same time. I dislike close-minded people, homophobes, overly pessimistic people, conflict, sports, being embarrassed and onions. Superficial people make me sad. I'm allergic to cats, but dogs make me exceedingly happy. One last thing: <3 and comment if you want to talk!

Date: 2010-08-01 08:20 am (UTC)Alberta has a weird education system, here we enter high school in 10th grade.
It's pronouced 'vie gates', so sort of the same. The W in German always turns into a V sound.
I hate math and am truly horrid at it, always have been. I'm brilliant at English and Social Studies (I think that's basically the same thing as your guy's History class, only we don't only learn about history, it's a lot of stuff mixed together, like geography and stuff) and sort of average at the sciences. I'm doing bio and chem next year though, along with Forensic Science. I want to be a social worker when I'm older though, so I quit math early because you don't really need it.
How is it in California? I've been there a few times and loved it to death. It's so beautiful and warm! I hope to go back to San Francisco one day.

Date: 2010-08-01 04:06 pm (UTC)I like history, I'm actually taking an advanced World History course this yearh, haha.
I want to be the type of social worker that works with either drug addicts or people with mental or physical illness. Do you still want to be one now, or have you moved on to something else?
I've been to quite a few places. All around California, Arizona (I haven't seen the Grand Canyon though, I really want to), Miami, the Carribean Islands, New York City, the Carolinas, Ohio, Nebraska, ect. ect. In Canada though, the only interesting place I've gone is southern BC and Vancouver... I love Vancouver, it's beautiful. I want to move to BC someday.

Date: 2010-08-01 10:25 pm (UTC)What are you taking next year, and when do you start? I'm back on August 30th.
I loved Miami, but yeah, I think I liked BC the best. There's just something about the mountains, I love them. So what's up?

Date: 2010-08-02 06:22 am (UTC)Vancouver is right on the ocean actually, haha. The water isn't as nice though, because of it being so much further north and all. It's sad.
I just got home actually, so I'm eating kind of a nasty sandwich and listening to music. I'm so tired :/

Date: 2010-08-02 07:41 am (UTC)You should. We could be neightbours, lol. This sandwich is nasty, it's store bought and it has like red peppers and green things and hard bread and all.
I'mma head to bed actually, there's no point in taking a nap at 2 in the morning, lol! My day was so good, me and my friend went to a festival in the city and ate lots of food there, then we went back to her place and watched movies. Fun. Yours? I bet the mall was fun.
Yeah, it totally is. Private message me for my address and stuff, and alos because this thread is getting ridiculous, lol.
