Oh hello~ !
Aug. 13th, 2010 06:03 pmName: Florine, but nicknames like Kimi or Flenn are fine too.
Age: 20
Location: France
How do you identify?: Lesbian. So obviously, female, even though you can't tell for sure when having a look at the contents of my wardrobe.
Interests/hobbies: I'm kinda obsessed by Asia-- mostly Japan, China and Korea because well, let's face it, these are the easiest ones to hear about. But I'm very curious about almost everything and always glad to learn about foreign countries (culture, language, landscapes and everything). I used to write a lot but I now have to stuck with some almost-writer's block and have to go to some very precise places to be able to pull out something good. I collect rubber ducks and pictures of landscapes as well as artsy postcards. I also draw sometimes but it's just your average stuff, really, except I do it on my bedroom's walls. Video games are nice too, even if I play only from time to time, like two weeks non-stop and then nothing at all for several months. My favorites are Final Fantasy IX and Pop'n'Music but I also enjoy those games you play when you don't want to think too much, like Katamari or Soul Calibur. Then there's music, photography, DDR (that's the closest thing to sport I can practice) and having some hazelnut coffee with friends while talking about our dreams and expectations. I can spend so much time on Pixiv or Deviantart also !
Favourite books: The Artemis Fowl series by Colfer are my all-time favorite, along with Pullman's "His dark materials" and Haddon's "Curious incident of the dog in the night-time". Actually I'd read pretty much everything that involves humour, fantasy and well-balanced action and psychological moments. Then I have to admit that I like some manga too much not to add them, like Yun Kouga's "Loveless" (which has to be my ultimate fave of all times), Akira Amano's "Katekyo hitman REBORN!" and all of Ebine Yamaji's works, because this women can say so much by using only ink and some paper.
Favourite films: I'm not much into movies, so hmm... "If these walls could talk 2", "Kamikaze Girls", "500 days of Summer". Aaand fave Disney is Kuzco, just because.
Favourite music: Powerpop, electro, rock and its derivatives like punk or alternative. I also listen to some new age when I need to relax. Some of my favorite artists/bands are Ellegarden, Cherry Filter, Radwimps, Two Door Cinema Club, the Black Skirts, noodles, La Roux, hellogoodbye, Yuki Kajiura, Kalafina and the Lufkin sisters. There are tons more actually because I can listen to almost everything that isn't rap/r'n'b. At the moment I'm drooling over Rilo Kiley's amazing skills !
What would you like to send/receive?: emails are ok I suppose, though snail-mail has a little something nostalgic to it that I find pleasurable. So if you want colorful letters, mix CDs, postcards or some drawings, or if you want to send them, just hit that little "comment" button and make yourself heard!
Who would you like to send and receive mail from?: People I can get along with, I suppose ? Even if we don't share the same interests, we can still learn from each other and this is the most important thing of all, in my opinion.
What countries would you like to receive mail from and send to?: Anywhere, I'm not picky so feel free to ask, 'kay ? As for languages I'm fluent in french and english but if you're patient enough, I can try to write in german, italian or japanese, though there will be tons of mistakes in it because I haven't been using the first two for years and have been learning japanese for two years only. For even more patient people, I can try somevery simple and devoided of interest sentences in chinese =w=
Anything that you would particularly NOT like to receive?: Anything too sexual or illegal. Drugs are not a lovely gift, for instance.
What would be in your dream letter or package?: A nice hand-written letter, full of your thoughts and random facts about you- what makes you happy and sad, what you dreamt about last night etc. I'd like a colorful letter, with somethin like a mix CD or a drawing, maybe ? Poetry or even the wrapping paper of the last sweet you ate would be nice! Make something fun and personnal, don't be afraid!
Anything else you'd like to add?: I tend to procrastinate, though I'll be doing my best to not take too long to reply to your letters/emails. Just to let you know. Also, I'm kind of shy at first because I always think I'm sounding stupid, but after two or three exchanges it'll improve if you make me feel at ease! :) Oh, and I've been talking about CDs and postcards and stuff, but just a letter on plain white paper is really nice too! It's what is written that counts !
