Name: Kaila
Age: 19
Location: Chicago, IL
How do you identify?: Queer and genderqueer. So, generally queer as fuck all around.
Interests/hobbies: Photography, art, design, reading, learning, feminist theory, LGBTQA community and rights, sarcasm, activism, vegetarianism, animals, tea, spoken word poetry, being wildly inappropriate.
Favourite books: Some favorite authors: Tom Robbins, Chuck Palahniuk, Augusten Burroughs, Sylvia Plath, Kurt Vonnegut, Kafka, and Jim Butcher.
Favourite films: Zombie, comedy, intellectual, foreign, and queer films are fantastic.
Favourite music: I enjoy indie and folk music, but not to the exclusion of all other music. Recently I have also been enjoying the Vitamin String Quartet while studying and relaxing.
What would you like to send/receive?: Letters, art, photographs, quirky things, pins, zines, comics, poetry (either original or from elsewhere), and indie shenanigans.
Who would you like to send and receive mail from?: Anyone at all. Interesting people with a sense of humor are always welcome!
What countries would you like to receive mail from and send to?: Any!
Anything that you would particularly NOT like to receive?: Anything not vegetarian-- so nothing with glycerine, gelatin, animal products, etc.
What would be in your dream letter or package?: Interesting letter, doodles, anything else of interest. I love quirky, eccentric things and I love to be surprised.
Picture (optional): I am on the left. On the right is my lovely fiance, the love of my life. :] You will hear about her, undoubtably if we are penpals.

Date: 2009-10-13 05:50 am (UTC)I'd be potentially interested in penpalling with you. I'm a 19-year-old generally queer student in NE Indiana -- majoring in History and Sociology, and we have a lot in common.
Shoot me an email at ellen.zemlin@gmail.com or catch me on AIM at nerdpony.
Thanks, and I look forward to hearing from you!
Holler!
Date: 2010-07-01 03:45 am (UTC)I've never read anything quite like it. He's writing about himself, and his pen name, and it's generally all-round crazy. It's well done, though, and as scattered as Slaughterhouse five (which I loved), but I'm only halfway through Timequake. Is there something you liked particularly about it?
