Name: Alice, legally - a thousand other things, informally. Most often, lately, it's been spaceman or simply E [for Eric, if it matters].

Age: Twenty.

Location: United States. New Jersey, to be specific.

How do you identify?: This will be a mouthful - homoromantic asexual genderqueer. I am a girl who prefers male pronouns [I am also partial to being referred to as 'dude' and 'bro'], but I'm not and never will be FTM. I like girls. That's about it.

Interests/hobbies: Writing, editing, drawing, roleplaying, playing w0w sometimes, studying astronomy - I work at a planetarium. I'm also partial to psychology and sociology, and languages; I'm currently learning Japanese. With editing, I'm the editor-in-chief of my college's student newspaper.

Favourite books: Anything by Poppy Z. Brite, 'The Picture of Dorian Gray' [Wilde], 'After Dark,' 'The Wind-Up Bird Chronicle' [Murakami]; there is a tonne more that I cannot remember for the life of me right now. Uh.. the current book that I'm re-reading is 'The Way of Shadows,' by Brent Weeks. I have a hard time putting it down when I need to.

Favourite films: Dr. Horrible's Sing-A-Long Blog, How to Train Your Dragon, Breakfast on Pluto, The Royal Tenenbaums, Watching the Detectives, The Cabinet of Dr. Caligari, Perfume: The Story of a Murderer, Johns, But I'm a Cheerleader!, Mysterious Skin, Let The Right One In.

Favourite music: Oh, god. Basically - Radiohead, Andrew Bird, deadman, Merry, The Decemberists, Rodrigo y Gabriela, The Mars Volta, deadmau5, Caviar, Paganini, Blockhead, and Gorillaz are some of my favourites. I also love Flight of the Conchords. However, the list goes on for ages and ages.. I'll listen to just about anything. I have a very eclectic library.

What would you like to send/receive?: Snail mail, e-mail, anything. Handwritten letters make me the happiest, however.

Who would you like to send and receive mail from?: Everyone!

What countries would you like to receive mail from and send to?: Everywhere! Bear in mind that my primary language is English, and while I'm going to be in Japanese III in the fall, I am nowhere near fluent enough to have confidence in my letter-writing skills. If anyone wants to help me, though.. :'D

Anything that you would particularly NOT like to receive?: Uhh.. y'know, illegal stuff, dead things, etc. The usual. I'm allergic to coconut, in case we wind up sending each other care packages.

What would be in your dream letter or package?: Long letters, drawings, mix CDs, little trinkets, uhh.. candy?? idk, man. Rainbows and giraffes and awesome things.

Anything else you'd like to add?: Stuff and things. I'm painfully awkward. It's nothing against you, if I'm shy for a long time. I really, really like giraffes. I also really like owls and crows. I adore This American Life. I'm interested in BDSM and kind-of-sort-of looking for a Dom. I am very good at doing what I'm told. I don't really like anime, but Neon Genesis Evangelion is one of my most favourite things in this universe. I have the worst sleeping habits ever. I can be pedantic and a bit of a jerk. My boss is my best friend. Elliot Smith makes me cry.

Picture (optional):

Hair is freshly cut. Also.. yes, naked chick on my wall. The reason behind buying that poster is not what one would expect.

Shortly before I cut my hair. [I was actually wearing a wifebeater under that hoodie, I swear. .. and yes, that is a dog collar. I mentioned the BDSM thing. Gosh.]

Now I'm curious: why DID you buy the poster of the naked chick? :3

Saying there's a story behind something and not telling it is like a red rag to a bull to me :P

Curiosity killed the cat, but the satisfaction of knowing brought it back to life :P I have to dash out and climb something, so awkward enquiries about whether you fancy swapping emails will have to wait...

Wow, what you've filled in for what you identify as is so scarily similar to how I identify myself. I am currently computer-less and using my phone to dip in and put online, so I wouldn't be good for sending emails or the like for a while, but I would love to be LJ friends if that's ok with you.

I don't mind at all :) I'm moving at the moment, but if you PM me your address I can post you a letter. Once I'm moved in properly I can tell you my new address.

*grins* I own Neuromancer, never got around to reading it, actually. I'll remember your suggestions. Care to exchange email?

Not too many good things come out of New Jersey, but you seem to be an except!

Haha, just kidding. Sort of. ;-)

Oh look, it's you again :D I think that every time one of us has posted, we've contacted the other, but for some reason never written, LET'S FINALLY CHANGE THAT.
Neutral Milk Hotel, Japanese, writing, Evangelion poster...you rock. I'll be glad to help you with Japanese, I'm sure it'll be a good refresher for me xD

I know you've already had loads of replies, but if you have room for one more, I'd love to write letters for each other.
