Location: Currently Japan, though soon I'll be moving back to the USA.
How do you identify?: Bisexual female
Interests/hobbies: Music, reading, writing, history, photography, travel, crafts (I've been really into Steampunk lately), cultural exchange, hiking
Favourite books: Difficult question! Currently, my favorite authors are Will Self, William Faulkner, and Neil Gaiman. I'll read just about anything, though.
Favourite films: Farewell My Concubine, Rosencrantz and Guildenstern are Dead, The Prestige, Speed Racer, Monty Python and the Holy Grail
Favourite music: I'm mostly into Jrock at the moment (especially Kra, Mix Speaker's,Inc., MUCC, and the GazettE), though I also really like The Killers, Poe, Duncan Sheik, and Band of Horses.
What would you like to send/receive?: Anything! Especially letters, though - letter writing has really become a lost art. I miss it.
Who would you like to send and receive mail from?: You.
What countries would you like to receive mail from and send to?: Any.
Anything that you would particularly NOT like to receive?: Live animals would probably not go over too well, but anything within reason would be great! ;)
Anything else you'd like to add?: I've spent a lot of time in foreign worlds where I'm not fluent in the native language; it's been fun, fascinating, and overall a fantastic experience - but it's also been lonely. What appeals to me about this community is the opportunity to connect with other people from across great distances and perhaps even cultural divides. We already know we have at least one thing in common; and I'd like a chance to meet you.
