Name: Caitirin
Age: nearly 30
Location: New Hampshire
How do you identify?: I'm female and a very happily married lesbian. We have 2 adorable cats.
Interests/hobbies: knitting, spinning, writing, reading fiction, cooking, baking, playing Sims (recently discovered), other video games (Katamari Damacy, Zelda), kayaking, theater, camping, table top gaming (L5R, BESM, Changeling, D&D)
Favourite books: Jim Butcher's Dresden files, YA GLBTQ fiction, urban fantasy
Favourite films and TV: Priscilla Queen of the Desert, LotR, Star Trek (TOS, NG, Reboot, DS9), CSI, Shoujo Kakumei Utena, Lucky Star, Melancholy of Suzumiya Haruhi, I also like PBS and history type shows
Favourite music: I enjoy pretty much anything but country and rap music (and even those have a few exceptions) I quite like "Chick Rock", J-Rock, Alternative, Symphonic Metal, 'World' music.
What would you like to send/receive?: I'd probably prefer to just start out being LJ friends and cooresponding via e-mail and such. That way it's low pressure :)
Who would you like to send and receive mail from?: I'd love to meet other knitters/spinners. People around my age or at the same place in their lives. My wife and I are considering buying our first house. We've both been through graduate school and have been married 3 years. Happily married types. But really I'm open to chatting with anyone who shares some of the same interests and such :)
What countries would you like to receive mail from and send to?: I'm open to anywhere, but would prefer to be e-penpals at first.
Anything that you would particularly NOT like to receive?: (eg. "food/candy with nuts") no meat related things, my wife and I are about 90% vegetarian, we're kind of eclectic pagan as well, so would prefer not to get religious materials from the other major religions.
What would be in your dream letter or package?: Crafty type things :} Something with thought put into it. Gummy candies.
Anything else you'd like to add?: My wife and I are fairly to the left of the American political spectrum so ultra-conservatives tend not to be a good match for conversation. I'm a geeky librarian. I love fiber arts. I'm looking only for friends for amicable conversation :)
