How do you identify?: Bisexual, female.

Interests/hobbies: I love music, cooking, gardening, art, dance, video games, theatre, politics, languages, old books, reading, poetry, fandom, taking care of kids. I want to bring back letter-writing!

Favourite books: So, so many. It is alarming how much I read but it looks like there are lots of other totally awesome bookworms around here. Authors include but are not limited to: Ray Bradbury, Robert Frost, Pablo Neruda, Philip Larkin, Emma Donoghue, C.S. Lewis, Patricia A. McKillip, and Garth Nix.

Favourite films: French films, especially Avenue Montaigne, and old movies- anything with Cary Grant or Humphrey Bogart. Slightly newer  and lighter classics like The Princess Bride  and The Labyrinth. Retold fairy tales like Ever After and Hook. Animated movies. Anything that makes me laugh or think- hopefully both.

Favourite music: Indie rock, electronic, classical, Broadway, jazz, old-school go-go and funk and big-band swing. Ben Kweller, Owl City, Emily White, Starryville, M.I.A. and lots more. I sing and play a few instruments pretty well- mostly guitar, cornet, and trumpet.

What would you like to send/receive?: Anything! Letters, postcards, art, swapping books or stories or poetry. I love to make and send intricate and pretty postcards and decorated letters.

Who would you like to send and receive mail from?: Anybody.

What countries would you like to receive mail from and send to?: Anywhere. 

Anything that you would particularly NOT like to receive?: I still live with my parents and they are often the ones who go get the mail, so nothing that would particularly shock them unless it's inside an envelope or otherwise craftily hidden.

What would be in your dream letter or package?: Art or a poem or a book. Drawings. A postcard from an interesting place. Photographs. Candy. A story about yourself. A kitten...where feasible.

Anything else you'd like to add?: I just learned to blow bubbles in gum about a year ago, and I was very proud of myself, but I still can't whistle. I really dig dancing and going barefoot and lying around in the sun and taking long walks and exploring weird places and talking to people and making friends and going to museums. When asked to describe me, four out of five of my friends said "funky". (disclaimer: all statistics may or may not be inflated). And I seriously do love to write letters, so if you write me then I would love to send you some cool stuff.
