Hello. Newbie here :D

Name: Farah

Age: 22

Location: Perth, Australia. I'm here, studying abroad. I'm originally from somewhere else.

How do you identify?: I'm Negatively Capable.

Interests/hobbies: Music. TV. The BBC. Books. I like all sorts of things and dislike others.

Favourite books: Coin Locker Babies (by Ryu Murakami) among many, many others. I also like poetry, mainly by WB Yeats, John Keats and Dylan Thomas.

Favourite films: I quite like those directed by Peter Greenaway. Generally I'm not into films. I go to the cinema usually to spend time with someone, not for the enjoyment of the film itself. But at the same time I do accept watching films as an escape.

Favourite music: I love the Beatles. I also love Japanese rock. And definitely 80s music. And David Bowie is a god, no arguments.

What would you like to send/receive?: Postcards, letters-- something simple, quaint yet meaningful.

Who would you like to send and receive mail from?: Anyone who cares enough to make the time and effort. (Thank you).

What countries would you like to receive mail from and send to?: As the Beatles song go: Here, there and everywhere!

Anything that you would particularly NOT like to receive?: I'm a pescatarian, if that helps. But aside from that, I'm happy for anything. Oh and please don't bother with baked goods -- Australian Quarantine is terribly particular unfortunately :(

What would be in your dream letter or package?: A drawing, a doodle, something creative and artistic. Or a simple "HELLO! How are you?" on a postcard where I can reply "GOOD, AND YOU?" on another postcard. (I'm very easily amused.)

Anything else you'd like to add?: Receiving mail is a very big deal for me. Each letter or postcard addressed to authenticates my existence. It's a bit sad, but that's how I truly feel. I love snail mail.

Thanks, and I hope to hear from someone soon...? :)

Oh I should have guessed that as a Stephen Fry fan you'd know about English!HughLaurie. It's strange how many of his "biggest fans" don't. House is cool, but I like the Earlier seasons where he still has his hair and less angst.

Thanks for the friending. I'll reciprocate.

Oh and I just re-read you post. Is being a pescatarian difficult? Because I'm thinking of becoming one, but I'm not sure how much it might inconvenience my family, seeing as they have to eat dinner with me all the time.

Garfield!

Well, I discovered his other stuff by way of House so it's not that bothersome; although I love squeeing while watching House and I see a "George-face" as I call them or a bit of a lilting tone.

Yeah, I figured I'd wait until uni. It just seems altogether healthier and there's still so many delicious opportunities you can't be doing yourself a disservice. Besides I love Asian cooking and there are cinary miracles in store ussing fish and greens. 'Could not live without tuna, agree. Yum! The other meats are good, but my pLette is slightly ruined by the same meats, the same days every week for years on end.
