How do you identify?: I guess I would summarize it as "straight but open." I've only ever been interested in males, but I believe you fall in love with who you fall in love with and as such, I am open to the possibility that, at some point in the future, I may find myself attracted to someone of the same gender...if that makes any sense. Female.
Interests/hobbies: I love to read, although I've been neglecting books something fierce in favor of fanfiction for the past few years. I also write fanfic on occasion. I used to write poetry but it was mostly depressing. I have a conversational/intermediate level of American Sign Language ability and would love to learn more. I draw and paint when the mood hits me. I love portraiture. I have two record players and think it's great fun to rock out to my vinyls.
Favourite books: Harry Potter series, Pride & Prejudice, Antigone (although I only read it once, years ago. Must remedy this.) I'm currently reading, on and off, Sense and Sensibility by Jane Austen, Jude the Obscure by Thomas Hardy, Peter Pan by J.M. Barrie, Through the Looking Glass by Lewis Carroll, and The Irregulars by Jennet Conant. As you can see, I tend not to read one book at a time. ^^'
Favourite films: A Beautiful Mind, Benny & Joon, The Prestige, Martian Child, Pride & Prejudice (2005. No, it doesn't follow the book superbly, but it is SO. VERY. PRETTY.). I also like The Boondock Saints, Hard Core Logo, Dr. Horrible's Sing-Along Blog, The Sound of Music, Se7en, Star Wars (original trilogy) and various foreign films. TV: Firefly, Due South, Bewitched. I also like The Dick Van Dyke Show, I Dream of Jeannie, Wire in the Blood, Law & Order: SVU, and my aunt has me watching The Vampire Diaries.
Favourite music: Queen is my all-time favorite band, but I also listen to, in varying amounts, artists like Metallica, Noe Venable, Pat Benatar, Billy Joel, Nickel Creek, Led Zeppelin, Rammestein, Slipknot, Roger Taylor, Kelly Clarkson, Avenged Sevenfold, Linkin Park, Weezer, soundtracks, and celtic music.
What would you like to send/receive?: I'd prefer to start with e-mail or LJ PMs and work up to actual post.
Who would you like to send and receive mail from?: I'll correspond with anyone so long as we have some stuff in common.
What countries would you like to receive mail from and send to?: I'm open to any country as long as your english is understandable.
Anything that you would particularly NOT like to receive?: As others have said, no food. Nothing illegal or sexual.
What would be in your dream letter or package?: Probably something fandom related with a letter full of squee and silliness.
Anything else you'd like to add?: I have a degree in psychology. Interesting as the subject is, I regret not doing education instead because I think that's where I want to be. My minor is in anthropology.

Date: 2010-06-27 03:44 pm (UTC)I have had an interest in sign language since I was very little. My high school offered two years of it so I took it there. Then, I went to a college with a big Deaf Education program and was involved in a couple of sign-related clubs.
