Name: Leander
Age: 25
Location: Salt Lake City, Utah, USA.
I do, really, hate it here.
How do you identify?: (sexuality/gender)
Gender-Queer - but more male than female, I dislike female pronouns and prefer male pronouns, but if we're good friends you can address me however you're comfortable with. I tried going through with Transition, but got to a point where I couldn't afford it any more so now I'm just me - a guy on this inside who looks female on the outs.
Bisexual - I tend to fall in love with female-identified women but be sexually attracted to male-identified men. I do get attracted to women too, just not as often. Truth be told gender doesn't particularly matter. I mean I have no walls/rules about who I date, am friends with, attach to, attract to...I just know whats been common in my life. So whatever your gender, however you identify, its cool with me.
Also, heads up, I'm Polyamorous. Without question and without compromise.
Interests/hobbies: Reading, writing, walking, cooking, wine tastings, listening to music, pondering life's questions...watching movies and tv shows.
Favourite books: Pride and Prejudice, um....I prefer really long books with descriptive paragraphs and dialog to match. I prefer series over individual books, or even trilogies, however stand alone books are awesome. I love to read, and I read a lot.
I can't think of all the others, there are a ton. I do better listing favorite authors...
Favourite films: Dead Poets Society, This Is It, Somewhere In Time, Interview with a Vampire, Love Actually, Shawshank Redemption, Music and Lyrics, The X-Men Movies, Waitress, Alice in Wonderland, Summer Stock, Bull Durham, Lost and Delirious, Dr. Horrible's Sing-A-Long Blog, Eddie Izzard....
*added Favourite TV: Anything by Joss Whedon, Bones, United States of Tara, Parenthood, CSI: Las Vegas, Charmed, Will and Grace, The L Word, Xena: Warrior Princess, Hercules, Designing Women, Golden Girls...
Favourite music: Tons and it varies. Sorry, but I just can't write it all down, there's so much.
What would you like to send/receive?: Emails, possibly little gifts from different countries, and I'm willing to gift back. I would be open to the occasional phone call as well. ;)
Who would you like to send and receive mail from?: People within my age group (21-30).
What countries would you like to receive mail from and send to?: Any, every.
Anything that you would particularly NOT like to receive?: (eg. "food/candy with nuts") No food unless its candy/cookie related - I'm just way too picky. Nothing with walnuts though! :) Oh, and I'm a vegetarian.
What would be in your dream letter or package?: Letter or email : Something written by someone who knows how to ramble, who is open to my life and opinions, someone who understands how to ask questions and it honestly looking forward to any answer. Someone without a lot of boundaries, who won't mind me asking as many questions as I want right back. ;)
Packages? Tiny souvenirs from other countries and long letters.
Anything else you'd like to add?: I am extremely liberal, but open minded to other views. I am Jewish and Pagan. In 2006 I was diagnosed with DID. These are facts, and I will discuss anything and everything openly and with brutal honesty. The truth sets you free and all that.

Date: 2010-06-26 07:18 pm (UTC)If you write me snail mail I can't guarantee I'll respond, I'm really bad at letter-writing unless its email.
You sound pretty awesome, so lets see if we can become good friends/ email-pen-pals. ;)

Date: 2010-06-26 03:02 am (UTC)I love questions. They're my favourite things. Especially questions that are asked without the fear accompanying them of potentially offending me or lots and lots of apologies and hem-hawing before asking the question. I say, get to the point. There's not enough time to be anything but brutally honest. Right? Right.
So. Wanna try this letter-type thing?

Date: 2010-06-26 07:20 pm (UTC)Yeah, it happens to me all the time. I also tend to fall in love with my best friends (at least briefly) and then am heart broken for awhile cuz I never let on, and so it never really gets resolved. I'm self-destructive in that way.
I adore questions. People should always ask as many as they want to and I don't like it when people are all "oh...well...um, if it won't hurt your feelings or offend you, then....um ??" cuz I'm like, just ask! :) I love to ask and to answer so I think we'll get along great!

Date: 2010-06-26 07:28 pm (UTC)Eddie Izzard rocks!
I don't really balance it. I hate it here and all its religiosity.
Finnish? Fantastic! I'm looking forward to long rambles on what its like where you are!
I've added you as a friend, and will send along my info in a PM. :)

Date: 2010-06-26 09:07 pm (UTC)I think we have a lot of common interests that would make for a great correspondence. I am also Jewish and pagan. Currently I live in the Midwest, which is not too horrible, but would be interested in hearing what it's like to be Jewish in Utah. For me, it would be nice to make more Jewish friends, regardless of where they are from.
Check out my LJ profile to see my interests and so on...if you are interested in corresponding, shoot me an email through LJ or my regular email address and maybe we can go from there. Hope to hear from you soon...
