How do you identify?: (sexuality/gender) I'm just me. Lesbian.
Interests/hobbies: My Jack Russell (dog), Photography (I like to take pictures, but I don’t particularly like to be in them!), Books, History, Genealogy, Travelling, Paranormal, Ice Hockey, Films, Music & going to gigs, Art (I occasionally paint - I wouldn’t say I’m very good at it though). Some of my LJ likes are: Rain, Snow, Silence, Penguins, Hands, Memories, Friendship, Humour, Random Conversations, Musicals / Theatre..
Favourite books: I read every day; whether it's fan fiction, or a few chapters of a book. I love books, the feel, smell and all that jazz...but generally I just like stories and learning, and I suppose I like the peacefulness and silence that comes with reading. I'm a bit of a history geek (WWII in particular) so I read anything and everything around that period. Some of my favourite authors are Jeffrey Deaver, Patricia Cornwell, Martina Cole and Roald Dahl. One of my favourite books is 'The 5 People You Meet In Heaven' by Mitch Alborn Oh, and I like photography books.
Favourite films: I could go on and on and on, but some of them - Some Like It Hot, The Wizard of Oz, Jude, Shawshank Redemption, Boy's Don't Cry, Drop Dead Fred, Aimee & Jaguar, The Silence of The Lambs, The Pianist, Heavenly Creatures, Little Shop of Horrors, Disney's Beauty & The Beast, Finding Nemo, The Goonies, a whole heap of musicals...
TV: I'm obsessed with Grey's Anatomy, Glee and Buffy The Vampire Slayer. Other stuff includes: CSI (Las Vegas), Dead like Me, Modern Family, Snoopy, True Blood.
Favourite music: This is another thing I could go on forever with. I listen to a whole range of things, but some are - Stevie Wonder, Green Day, Lady Gaga, Elton John, Billy Joel, Kylie Minogue, 80s music, Muse, Tori Amos, Nerina Pallot, Marina & The Diamonds, Paloma Faith, Paramore, The Puppini Sisters, No Doubt, Blondie, Cerys Matthews, Franz Ferdinand, Thea Gilmore, Within Temptation, Linkin Park, Pendulum, Bif Naked, anything involving piano or violin..heaps more.
What would you like to send/receive?: Emails, maybe moving on to postcards, letters and the likes. I'm a bit of a fan of getting letters in the post :O)
Who would you like to send and receive mail from?: Anything goes. Although I will say, I only speak basic French and German, and it has been so long since I practiced in either.
What countries would you like to receive mail from and send to?: Again, as above, anything goes.
Anything that you would particularly NOT like to receive?: (eg. "food/candy with nuts") Nothing in particular, except the obvious - anything illegal, dead..
What would be in your dream letter or package?: Something with some thought put into it / behind it.
