Name: Kat Pirtle, girl of a thousand alter egos, though this is the original and the one I keep coming back to

Age: 25

Location: Oregon, USA

How do you identify?: (sexuality/gender) In between bouts of gender-questioning, I'm a lesbian.

Interests/hobbies: Making things, including but not limited to quilts, masks, posters, household decor, and a fool of myself. I read a lot, more so when I'm avoiding the world, less so when I'm embroiled in one of my aforementioned craft projects. I collect refrigerator magnets. Other interests include antiques (because I like going through other people's stuff), anime and Japanese pop culture, zombies as protagonists, and taking walks.

Favourite books: Almost anything written by Simon R. Green or Katie MacAlister. And a lot of other authors too, but those are pretty indicative of my favorite types. I read equal amounts of fantasy and romance books, though recently I've been delving into sci-fi. I don't do non-fiction because I find it depressing, and I don't read books featuring wars (real or imaginary) for the same reason.

Favourite films: Currently, the 2009 "Star Trek" movie gets me giddy. Longstanding favorites are "The Labyrinth", "The Fifth Element", and "He Loves Me, He Loves Me Not."

Favourite music: I've been told that I listen to a lot of angry music. This may be true. To name a few, I like Panic at the Disco, Breaking Benjamin, and Dragonforce. Currently stuck in my head on repeat is the song "Paralyzer" by Finger Eleven.

What would you like to send/receive?: Emails to start, I think. For a lot of reasons- I'm a very paranoid individual and I don't give my address to people until I trust them. Also, I hate buying stamps. But eventually I wouldn't mind working up to the traditional snail-mail or packages. Because getting things other than bills and junk in the mailbox makes me feel special.

Who would you like to send and receive mail from?: Um? People who would be interested in talking to me, I guess. I'm awkward talking to boys (not that I'll discourage them- just giving fair warning). People with a sense of humor. No stalkers, if you please- it may take me a day or so to reply, so please no spamming. Interesting and fun people.

What countries would you like to receive mail from and send to?: As for email, wherever. For snail mail, I'd probably only regularly send mail out to those countries that wouldn't charge me a fortune in shipping costs. And no offense to anyone, but I only speak (and write) English, and everything else will only recieve a somewhat baffled look and a helpless "huh?"

Anything that you would particularly NOT like to receive?: (eg. "food/candy with nuts") There are a lot of things I don't want to recieve. Bombs, for one. Death threats. Insults. Body parts (actually, I'm very fond of bones, but only if they're cleaned). But more practically, no perishable foods, please and thank you.

What would be in your dream letter or package?: Refrigerator magnets are always welcome- tacky or tasteful, but not poorly made. Books are good. I like a lot of random stuff, so an ideal package could have anything from t-shirts to posters to old keys to windchimes. I like to be surprised.

I think that about covers it. If I sound interesting (and I hope I do, otherwise I'm talking to myself, and while that's fairly usual, it's not really what I'm going for here) feel free to drop me a line.
