Re-posting because I'm going back to school and want to meet new people/I posted the first time during the Great Feature Glut/I enjoy clogging up this community, bwahaha.

How do you identify?: Bi-curious male (I have trouble forming emotional bonds with men, but there have been a few.)

Interests/hobbies: Odd/eclectic music and instruments, writing/reading, parody, art/crafting (specifically Perler Beads), biking, cooking, photography, singing, science-fiction, anything large-scale that could possibly brighten peoples' day, writing letters. Also, bizarrely, serial killers and metaphysics. I REALLY want to start making zines, but due to me being a college student and therefore being perpetually penniless, that dream is rather far-off.

Favourite books: JOHN DIES AT THE END. Also, They Year of Yes, Fight Club, Oryx and Crake, As I Lay Dying, The Thran, Beowulf, John Dies at the End, The Saga of the Volsungs

Favourite films: Shortbus, Ten-Inch Hero, The Notebook, Sin City, Cashback. Indie/experimental films, and I'm a sucker for cheesy romances :p Genre-defying movies, character studies, vignette collections and arthouse films always rate well with me too. I usually love films that leave my brain in a smouldering lump on the floor XD

Favourite music: I AM A HUGE FUCKING HIPSTER. The Album Leaf, Arcade Fire, Akeboshi, Beirut, Ben Folds, Counting Crows, El Ten Eleven, Epik High, Gogol Bordello, The Goo Goo Dolls, Jack's Mannequin, Lady Gaga, Michelle Branch, Neutral Milk Hotel, Owl City, Regina Spektor, Jonsi, Sigur Ros, Tori Amos, The xx, The Mountain Goats. Also, any band that uses the saw has a special place in my heart.

What would you like to send/receive?: Letters, most of all. We can email for a while, but it's just not the same as a hand-written letter <3 Mix tapes/CDs, photos, stories, lucky trinkets, inspirational thoughts, cryptic secret plans, art, poems/stories...

Who would you like to send and receive mail from?: I generally communicate better with women, but I'm always up for talking to anyone :)

What countries would you like to receive mail from and send to?: Being the ridiculously poor college student that I am, I can only afford to send letters to people in America.

Anything that you would particularly NOT like to receive?: Semi-accurate predictions of future events. Shit gets too weird >.> Also, anything relating to spiders.

What would be in your dream letter or package?: Something that surprises me so much I can't even begin to think of it now. Does that sound like a cop-out? I hope not >.>

Anything else you'd like to add?: I'll be in Japan from roughly January to May, so we hay have to switch to email then, for monetary/time concerns of both parties. I'm semimaybeconversationally fluent in Japanese, and I really want to learn Russian and Icelandic (so if you know both/either, CAN WE BE FRIENDS?). I am quite easily excitable. If I gush/rave about anything to you, expect it to be about half as good as I say it is :p
