Name:
Melissa

Age:
29

Location:

Australia

How do you identify?:
I'm not terribly good with labels; until I asked someone more informed than I, I thought pansexual meant you had an attraction to cookware. But since being informed with its correct meaning, I'll have to go with that - the label, not the cookware.. although I do get excited by those non-stick silicone cupcake trays.

Interests/hobbies:
Sewing! I've just recently taken it up - at the moment I tend to put more holes in my fingers than my fabric - but I'm learning. Baking, fangirling (especially slashy things), graphics, tv watching, going to see films, listening to music, geeking out, daydreaming, gaming, graphics, vidding and photography. I also like to blast music and dance around while cleaning.. but everyone does that, right?

favorite books:
I will admit to geeking it up and getting up early to get my copy of the newest Harry Potter book as it was released (no Midnight Release Parties where I live, woe) in years passed. I have a strange and fulfilling love affair with The Hobbit and a little book by Max Barry called Syrup. I prefer to stay on the light side of literature and adore fantasy type things. Oh. And fanfiction. But that's not bound. Some of it ought to be, though.

Favorite films:
Ah. I'm going to forget a ton, but I'll give it a go. Anything that leaps forth from Tim Burton's brain, pretty much anything animated (Disney ftw!), Lake Placid, Transformers, D.E.B.S., Beverly Hills Cop, National Treasure, Galaxy Quest, Harry Potter, Bats (and most loltastic creature features), House of Flying Daggers, Evolution, Dragonheart, Kiki's Delivery Service, Bend It Like Beckham, Penelope, The Cat Returns, Pirates of the Caribbean, LORD OF THE RINGS kind of owns a little piece of my soul, Resident Evil, Fast and the Furious, Spirited Away, Casper  and movies where people get stuck in a central location; Dawn of the Dead, Eight Legged Freaks, Legion, etc. Basically I will watch most anything and like a bit of everything --- everything except horror movies that are filmed to look like real footage; Blair Witch, Paranormal Activity, etc.

Favorite music:
Again, a little bit of everything; I tend to like at least one song from each artist I hear, I completely fail at putting them into categories though. Label-fail strikes again. Some at random; Hinder, Evanescence, Linkin Park, Breaking Benjamin, Lady Gaga, Disney Soundtracks, Pink, Nickelback, T.a.T.u, Trapt, Within Temptation, The Veronicas, Full Blown Rose, Daughtry, Savage Garden.

What would you like to send/receive?
Emails to start (brokenteaparty@gmail.com), graduating to snail mail (I love that term, it reminds me of the little dude in The Neverending Story).

Who would you like to send and receive mail from?
Katie McGrath. Is that an option? No? Okay, anyone who isn't a serial killer or aspires to be one. Geeks. Dorks. People who can appreciate the random and the absurd (and anyone who can tell me why a wizard would have a receding hairline. If you can brew potions that ensnare the senses, couldn't you bubble up a little something to stimulate hair follicles?) ... Did I mention people who are down with the random?

What countries would you like to receive mail from and send to?
I have serious country-crushes on England and Ireland. That's not to say I wouldn't love to receive mail from anyone - I totally would. I am an equal-opportunity mail sender and receiverer, honest.

Anything that you would particularly NOT like to receive?
Body parts - yours or someone elses, spam (neither electronic or tinned variety) or anything that would cause the cute custom puppies to get their "I found contraband, give me a chew toy!" on.

What would be in your dream letter or package?
Ho hum, I've never actually pondered this before, and now I am, I seem to be coming up blank.  Fail. Random doodles on post its are good, let's go with that.

Anything else you'd like to add?
I think socks are the best things ever invented, Winter > Summer, Hoodies are <3, oh, and I'm prone to rambling.
