How do you identify?: Queer on all counts. (Edit: I totally come off as cisfemale femme but identify as genderqueer. I guess my boy side is kind of a twink or something. So, for whatever that is worth? I am sorta halfway between being ambivalent and ambiguous.)
Interests/hobbies: Knitting, writing, sewing, gluten-free stuff, macrobiotic cooking, cats, bead crafts, paper crafts, painting in gouache, drawing, Sakura Gel Pens, Copic Markers, collage, literary theory, botany, other stuff.
Favourite books: Charles Simic. Harry Potter. 'Sputnik Sweetheart' by Haruki Murukami. The Chronicles of Narnia. Richard Brautigan. William Carlos Williams. Mark Strand, sometimes. 'The Color Purple' by Alice Walker. Orson Scott Card for the most part although his worldview sometimes makes my hair curl.
Favourite films: Sweet Movie. Amelie. Once Upon A Time In Mexico. Ponyo.
Favourite music: Guided By Voices. Devendra Banhart. The Magnetic Fields. Nuggets/Pebbles/60s psychedelic/garage rock. TRex. Swans. Joanna Newsom.
What would you like to send/receive?: Little crafty doodads, knitted jewelry, mittens, medicine bags made of seed beads, drawings and paintings, microfiction.
Who would you like to send and receive mail from?: Artists. Crafters. Weirdos. People with big glasses.
What countries would you like to receive mail from and send to?: Any! Language-wise, I can muddle through correspondence in Spanish and French, and I'm learning Mandarin.
Anything that you would particularly NOT like to receive?: Food. I have too many weird food issues and can't eat it.
What would be in your dream letter or package?: Project ideas/directions. Drawn out plans for paper crafts in the style of Acme Novelty Library. Cat toys. Handspun yarn. Seed beads. Moccasins. Ships in bottles. Tiny dioramas.
Anything else you'd like to add?: One thing I would be into is a drawing exchange. You start the drawing, send it to me, I add stuff, send it back, until we agree it's done.
