How do you identify?: Mostly queer, a lot of gay, and somewhere around demisexual. Also, trans dude.

Interests/hobbies: World of Warcraft, webcomics, LiveJournal, writing, reading, playing time-wasting games... I bounce around a lot of different things.
» Fandoms: D.Gray-man, Kingdom Hearts, Tales of the Abyss, Gankutsuou, DOGs, Glee... I also like a bunch of other things, but don't really follow them.

Favourite books: Lynn Flewelling's books, LotR series, Good Omens, Terry Pratchett's Discworld books... And some other random stuff.

Favourite films: Films are kinda come-and-go for me. I like the shiny ones with explosions or cool worlds or both. Most recently I've seen and enjoyed Avatar and How to Train Your Dragon. The only one that's stayed a favorite is The Princess Bride. Unless Dr. Horrible's Sing-Along-Blog also counts.

Favourite music: Uhmm... -shuffles through library- Lady Gaga, the Glee soundtrack, And Then There Were None, 30 Seconds to Mars, access, Bump of Chicken, Angels and Airwaves, Bloc Party, Stabilo, David Bowie, The Hush Sound, Jack's Mannequin, Less Than Jake, The Matches, Mindless Self Indulgence, Placebo, Queen, Rammstein, Trans-Siberian Orchestra... I listen to a lot of different things.

What would you like to send/receive?: I'm not picky about what I get. As far as giving goes, I like to babble on about stuff. I can draw when the mood strikes, but I'm more of a "silly doodle" kind of person, not a "work of art" one. I have a tendency to give advice - I like to try and help people when I can. At this point, I would prefer email, because my physical address is going to change soon, but I'm definitely open to snail-mail once that's settled.

Who would you like to send and receive mail from?: Doesn't matter, really. Just looking for other people to correspond with for fun.

What countries would you like to receive mail from and send to?: I don't care with email, but seeing as I'm a poor college kid, I'd really like to be able to send snail mail with just one stamp (unless you're willing to pay for postage, at which point, I'll gladly send to anywhere!)

Anything that you would particularly NOT like to receive?: Anything sexual. My boyfriend might have to be angry about that... Packages are cool as long as I'm warned beforehand.

What would be in your dream letter or package?: ~~My teaching certification, a shiny new home, and a puppy. And enough money to set me well-off for life.~~ Uhm, idk xD;; I like letters!

I can get a little weird and a little ranty (seriously, just look at my latest LJ entries - none of it's locked), but I really do love trying to help people out. Figured that since I started the community that I might as well update and repost my details...

How do you identify?: Queer femme, and in a happy monogamous relationship.

Interests/hobbies: I am a web and graphic designer and can honestly say that I get mega nerdgasms from coding a kick-ass piece of CSS. When I'm not being a computer geek, I love reading, drawing, walking my dog, drinking tea, cooking veggie delights and baking, charity shops, collecting stuff (I am a serial hoarder of records, tacky cheap kitsch toys, vintage cameras, accordions... I should also mention that I have collected Hanson memorabilia since I was 9 years old and my quest in life is to own the Hanson skateboard and glow-in-the-dark frisbee. One can only dream...) making mix-CDs/mixtapes, DJing (badly), going to gigs/festivals, zines, crafternoons, print-making, illustration... probably tons more that I've forgotten.

Favourite books: My favourite book ever is Down And Out In Paris And London by George Orwell, but I also love the lines of: Charles Bukowski, Cormac McCarthy, William Burroughs, Poppy Z Brite, Jonathan Saffran Foer, Haruki Marukami... usually I love anything dark, bleak and preferably featuring poverty/murder/nihilism/alcoholism/teenage-angst/drug-addiction. Favourite films: My favourite film ever is Ghost World. Also, Les Amants Du Pont Neuf, Sunset Boulevard, Heathers, Grizzly Man, Paris Texas, Amelie, Caramel, Betty Blue, Night On Earth, a lot of movies by Pedro Almodovar, Lukas Moodysson et all... I also have a soft spot for dodgy rom-coms, 90s kids movies and camp queer classics.

Anything else you'd like to add?: Well I started this community and have had a couple of nice short-term penpals from it but am still hunting for a keeper. Honestly, I am very busy a lot of the time so I am searching for a non-demanding penpal relationship... as in there isn't too much pressure to write to eachother regularly. Maybe we could just keep in touch, maybe send eachother updates and cute things occasionally, maybe not talk for a few months while we are busy and then suddenly write eachother 20 page letters out of the blue when we crave conversation. This is what I once had with a penpal but alas it is no more... and I'd love to have that again. There is nothing quite like receiving an amazing letter in the mail randomly, or pouring out your heart and posting it halfway round the world when you are feeling down (or up! or just in the mood!)
